Most of the things that people do or feel are created in their minds first as thoughts. As a matter of fact, it is what the mind creates that other parts of the body will empower for actions. Possibilities and impossibilities are created in the mind. This is why if someone believes that something is impossible or cannot be done, then the person's ability to do that thing will dwindle and the person will end up not doing that thing - not because the thing is impossible per se, but because the person's mind has perceived it as impossible. The mind-blowing inventions, trailblazing achievements and pathfinding innovations that we see around today were all products of the mind. In the same way, some others that have not achieved anything are majorly because their minds have not conceive it yet. The stagnation of the mind is what manifests in the physical one. No one is a failure even in the presence of failed attempts until the person's mind had accepted it. That is, you are only a failure if you resolve within your mind that you are a failure, otherwise you are not a failure. One of the major limitations that people face is the limitations of the mind. This is why if someone wants to attack someone, he will start with waging war against their minds. Anyone or any situation that succeeds in getting into your mind or taking hold of your mind has gotten to you. The first point of call where warfare is fought and either won or lost is in the mind. The mind is so powerful that it can create or recreate one's world by influencing the person's actions through their thoughts. You will also agree with me that fears also come from the mind. Yes, majority of what people are afraid of are creations of the mind. That is, they are irrational, non-verifiable, and most times nonexistent, but are just residing in the person's mind. A story was told of a young elephant that when the owner got him at just over a week old, he was tied with a small rope unto a tiny pole under a shade. The major part of the life of the elephant was spent under that shade being tied with the small rope. As the elephant grew, he was still confined to that small rope under the shade. After many years, the baby elephant was fully grown into a big adult elephant but surprisingly, he was still tied to the rope and it limited his advancement. Then one day, someone came visiting the owner of the elephant and saw how the elephant was tied with a small rope that would simply snap if the elephant makes even a tiny pull. The visitor then asked the owner of the elephant why the elephant was comfortable being confined to that place. The owner explained that when he got the elephant many years ago, he tied him with the rope and the rope was enough to tied down the baby elephant. However, he grew up with the mentality that the rope was strong enough to hold him down because it did when he was small. Because of this mentality, the elephant has not made any attempt in breaking free from the rope. He then concluded by telling the visitor that it is not the rope that is holding the elephant now but his own mentality. If you think negativities, then your actions and your results will be negatively inclined. However when positive thoughts become your dominant thought, then you will begin to act positively and of course, your life will radiate positivities. Always remember that you are not to think the situation but what you want to see.
