Hello everyone 👋, TGIF ✨ and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day draws to a close, an raring to go with my stepping activities of the day along with some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for stopping by and let's get cracking 💨. So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. A nice short walk then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies around the park. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media. Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, otherwise a quiet day, it's gonna be a long Easter weekend 🎊 Globally, that conflict in Israel trending. Israel's iron dome system intercepted rockets fired from Gaza and Southern Lebanon 🙀. In response Israel conducted air strikes in Gaza and Lebanon hitting several Hamas sites. Elsewhere in Ukraine, Wagner group mercenaries are advancing in Bakmut, meanwhile Ukrainian forces are gearing up for a counterattack 😹. Trending in Russia, that WSJ American journalist who was arrested last week, has been formally charged with spying for the US, they say he was caught red handed 🙀. The US has urged Russia to release the journalist and called the charges against him ridiculous. Finally, a UAE court had dismissed South Africa's request to extradite Gupta brothers who are wanted for grand theft and corruption 🙀. So that was Friday and I wanna thank you for reading this far 👏.
