Hiii!!! This is my entry for the Mr.M # 5 Art Contest. This week's theme is: mythological characters and creatures. Although I love all the mythology of ancient Greece, I preferred to draw a picture of a more british creature, a Fairy. A portrait of a fairy.

¡Holaa! Esta es mi entrada para el Mr.M # 5 Art Contest. El tema de esta semana es: personajes y criaturas mitológicos. Aunque amo toda la mitología de la Grecia antigua, preferí hacer un dibujo de una criatura más británica, un Hada. Un retrato de un hada.

What is a fairy? | ¿Qué es un hada?

Fairies are spirits generally associated with nature. "In European folklore and in fairy tales they are described as typically invisible or non-substantial spirits living on the earth near, or in association with, mortal humans." Source

Las hadas son espíritus asociados con la naturaleza. "En el folclore europeo y en los cuentos de hadas se los describe como espíritus invisibles o no sustanciales que viven en la tierra cerca de, o en asociación con, humanos mortales". Fuente

Some fairies, according to the myth, are related to feelings, but they are commonly related to the seasons, such as the Spring Fairies and the Autumn Fairies, among others. These spirits usually appear as young women with flowing and transparent dresses, delicate and beautiful, who possess magical powers.

Algunas hadas, según el mito, se relacionan con los sentimientos, sin embargo, comúnmente se relacionan con las estaciones, como las Hadas de Primavera y las Hadas de Otoño. Suelen aparecer como mujeres jóvenes con vestidos transparentes y vaporosos, delicadas y hermosas, que poseen poderes mágicos.

Process | Proceso

For this drawing I made a small sketch, then the lines and finally I painted it in Paint Tool Sai. The tools I used were the pen (for the sketch), the eraser and the brush, and I continued to modify all those tools to get the result I expected.

Para este dibujo hice un pequeño boceto, luego las líneas y finalmente lo pinté en Paint Tool Sai. Las herramientas que utilicé fueron la pluma (para el boceto), el borrado y el pincel, y continué modificando todas esas herramientas para obtener el resultado que esperaba.
