I wasn’t really planning on writing a review prior to watching Avengers: Endgame. However, after watching it with my friends — Miguel, Nicole, & Cathy — I was left with several thoughts on it that I expressed to my friends after the movie. Here are some of those thoughts below. https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/017/195/909/large/camille-vialet-endgame-poster-promo-art-recreationjpg.jpg?1554998639 --- For starters, even though this was an Avengers movie, it simultaneously felt like what could have been an Iron Man 4 movie as well, as Tony Starks settled down with Pepper Potts & had a five-year-old daughter — both events of which I’m not a fan of, by the way, as I’ve always liked the playboy-billionaire version of Tony Stark more, but I get that Marvel/Disney wanted to portray Tony as “family-friendly,” & raise the risks that Tony was taking by coming out of retirement to restore the world.

The cheeseburger scene with Tony’s daughter & Happy was a nice touch because it touched on Robert Downey Jr.’s past, & his role of Tony Stark. I have to admit, even though Iron Man was the cash cow that eventually glued the cinematic universe together, I did expect Disney/Marvel to kill him off, so that they could further the story by introducing a new era of heroes. My favourite scenes were when Tony got to speak to his father, when Thor got to speak with his mother, & when Captain America got to see his lover. I really disliked how they used the Hulk — not just in this movie, but in all the previous ones aside from the standalone, because they turned him into a pussy. He was poorly utilized in the Marvel cinematic universe. I hated his weird little romance with the Black Widow: it was forced, & random.

I expected a rematch between the Hulk & Thanos because we were deprived of that in Infinity War, but I was let down yet again. Furthermore, the Hulk in Endgame was pretty much just Bruce Banner with green skin, & the humour of that got old really quick. Some of the jokes in the movie were funny, but a lot of them were forced & unnecessary. To make matters worse, they turned Thor into a fat, lazy, deadbeat, insecure, drunk pussy as well, & it didn’t stop there — practically all the guys were more or less like that, while the women were portrayed as tough, hard, & masculine: obviously, because this movie was littered with feminist propaganda — especially in that one scene where they brought all the women together to back up Captain Marvel against Thanos. Speaking of Captain Marvel — I have complete disdain for her character. She was horrific to watch. I have absolutely no desire to watch her movie, nor see any more of her in the upcoming films.

I also didn’t like how little we saw of Drax & Groot. I think that the future of Marvel has potential, but it lies on an excellent execution of Black Panther, & the reboots of Fantastic Four & X-Men. Failure to do so, mixed with this continuous feminist propaganda, will probably lead to a steady decline in interest in Marvel.
