We have all seen in science fiction movies and series, the existence of an artificial intelligence being able to handle complex tasks, with the goals of making our society function in a much more efficient way. The truth is, when it comes to making calculations, our biological brain cannot compete with the superior speed coming from synthetic environments. Technology is and will always be all around us, it is what makes our modern lives much better in every sense compared to the lives of people from decades and centuries ago, from electricity, to means of transportation, and more recently the digital revolution, technology has always been at the center of every big leap humanity has ever taken, and right now we are in the process of taking the next one.

The only difference thanks to which we have today much better lives than in the past, is not because of better politics or anything related to that, it is because of more advanced technology, which allows us to increase our productivity all around the world, and this has as an inevitable result, an improvement in the quality of life for all the people. A very common example of this is the internet, we can see today the huge impact the internet has had in human lives for the past 20 years, it allowed us to create a new generations of jobs and incomes through which people can subsist, and are becoming more and more popular with every passing year. Since artificial intelligence can process information much faster than us, it can potentially be the number 1 tool when it comes to figuring out solutions to problems we have yet to solve, besides helping us develop strategies to make productivity in factories be more efficient, as well strategies to improve our overall security, whether it is in the real world with more advanced systems that can provide security measures when bad things are happening (like some kind of disaster), or the digital world by helping with the improvement of security software to protect valuable information. Informing the individual in question of the risk he has, and giving him the opportunity to take preventive measures with the corresponding treatment. So for example, a institutions like hospitals could use artificial intelligence to help predict which disease will the patient develop in the coming years. This is actually already being done with some diseases, but there is always the possibility of improving things and expanding its capabilities.
