It all started with one decentralized blockchain to transfer value and later assets between people conveniently, anonymously, and as fast as possible. Later on, another blockchain, Ethereum, joined the family, allowing anybody to create their own asset and share it with anyone. But as time progressed, old models were forked and new blockchains and technologies were invented. For decentralized projects, such as DeFi, it is easy to build and share their utility token with the world, but rather hard to bring it to the market. That's why AMMs or Automated Market Makers were created, starting with EtherDelta, whose legacy continued with platforms such as UniSwap or CakeSwap. For people such as me, it is hard to choose which one to use, but what everyone loves, is free money. That's where ApeSwap platform shines the most.

Introduction

Apeswap is a decentralized exchange and an AMM that, apart from trading, offers many additional features, such as earning their native token BANANA, playing a lottery with huge prize pools, investing in ICO-like projects called IAOs, or participating in community events.

Trading

An Automated Maker Maker allows any combination of two tokens to be exchanged on the Binance Smart Chain. Anyone can add or create a pair of two tokens, trade them, add liquidity or use the bridge transfer mechanism.

Earning BANANA

ApeSwap offers many ways to earn cryptocurrency. You can participate in yield farming and earn commissions by providing liquidity for your favorite project. After providing liquidity, users can stake their BANANA-(COIN)-LP tokens and earn astronomically high APYs.

Furthermore, you can also opt to stake BANANA and earn a commission after a certain period of time, periodically.

What's more, ApeSwap also provides liquidity pools for users to invest their BANANAs in and be offered frequent rewards in the respective pool's underlying token, which is very similar to staking.

IAOs or Initial Ape offerings

An Initial Ape Offering (IAO) is a fundraising vehicle utilized to launch new tokens and acquire liquidity for their underlying liquidity pools. Generally, you need BANANA-BNB LP tokens to participate in an IAO. Essentially you are trading those LPs for the token to be launched.

Golden Banana

Golden Banana or GNANA is a reflect token. Holders get a share of the fee proportional to their holdings just by having it in their wallets. Further benefits are that they acquire access to special IAO allocations and liquidity pools made exclusive for GNANA holders. The token is also becoming the only governance token of the platform.

In summary, ApeSwap has a huge potential to overcome its main AMM competitors by providing extra features that certainly make it stand out. With time and the continuing mass adoption of tokenized assets on the blockchain, the token market will definitely be growing, so ApeSwap has certainly a big chance to become the next popular exchange in the crypto space.
