As you know my regular guest, I always write reviews of projects telling whether they are worth getting involved with. This is not a professional advisory service, therefore due diligence is advised. There are three points I consider in any project.

These three points are

1. Uniqueness of Innovation/idea/product

2. Rate of Adoption &

3. Marketing.

The shipping industry is a billion dollar industry which is burdened with a lot of issues. Identifying problems and providing solutions is how entrepreneurs create value in the society and grow their ventures.

Uniqueness of Innovation/Idea/Product

Remember when the mobile phone first came out? That was some advancement. I will use the Mobile Phone example in the whole article to drive my point. As people started understanding how to use the mobile devices, it changed the way people communicate and till now, its effect is still been felt across the world. Even right now, you could be reading this article on your mobile phone.

That is what Uniqueness of a product does. It changes perception and brings with it a whole new world. I would start talking about the various types of businesses that has sprung from the innovated mobile phone. Bringing this home to Blockshipping, the development of a Global Shared Container Platform for settlement of economic transactions and also for real-time tracking of container assets may not be all so unique on its own when you consider the works of other blockchain projects in the space.

However, if you consider the tokenization model adopted by Blockshipping, you would definitely see the innovation that has been put into it. One of the things that have delayed the mass adoption of crypto is volatility. This was what gave rise to a generation of cryptocurrencies called StableCoin.

It is the hybridization of a volatile and stable token system with enrichment for both token holders such as revenue sharing and hedge against sudden drop in price which is imperative for commerce that I feel is one of the things that have Blockshipping outstanding and unique. Rate of Adoption and Marketing

With the various issues faced in the shipping industry such as over/under capacity, lack of timely information exchange, high rates, security, real time tracking of assets etc, the Global Shared Container Platform seeks to provide solutions to these problems. In addition to this, it will also ensure timely settlement of liabilities and receipt of economic benefit. In a world of too many paper works, the Blockchain has come to uplift the shipping industry through the GSC Platform.

In terms of rate of adoption, the industry is faced with the issues highlighted above and when considering the estimated projected cost savings yearly of over 5billion USD and provision of real time tracking of containers, there is plenty of rooms for adoption.

Another factor which is sponsoring my adoption chant is the fact that Blockshipping team is made up of persons of over 20 years experience in the shipping business. Their influence on the project in marketing the project out is very much in a high.

The innovation of mobile phone is today marketing itself. Though more functionalities beyond ‘make a call and send a sms’ has been built into it over the years, I do remember I bought my first mobile phone because its need sold itself to me and I do just know that backed with the army of intellectual and experienced team members, advisors and legal service provider, Blockshipping is readying and will ship the industry block by block.
