Journal Entry:

Last week, I sent CoS Maxwell and Rick the Ranger out on separate assignments to help defend a couple of other colonist from the snake clan's attacks against their homes. Maxwell was, for the most part, successful and returned back to fyre's forest later in the week with his spoils. Rick, on the other hand, is still out on his mission and I am growing a bit worried. Further, Upon hearing a report form Maxwell about fellow colonist @happyme's unhappy concerns about the fairness of the battlefield's plunder, fyre's forest has decided to rescind any and all current trade agreements with @happyme; since it would be "unfair" for our Armorer to charge him much less than the other colonists for the same items, he will now be on an even footing for his armor needs, if obtained from fyre's forest. I must remind myself...In an environment such as the Darklands, we are all scavengers and survivors in an unfriendly territory. First dibbs and claim rights apply to everybody equally and they are the first step in maintaining order and authority. Friendships and alliances are fleeting opportunities to pursuing common goals, but they are not to be trusted beyond that end.
