The Process Of Making Videos.

DTube is easy to use for the average user. Vloggers can easily record themselves and upload said video at any given point, but the process **can** be **very** different for other video creators. In this tutorial, I will cover **all** the aspects, from nothing to a video on DTube ready to be watched and rewarded. You will learn everything from how to make and upload videos, but you will also see the entire process from a more in-depth point of view. This software allows others to watch what you decide to share on Twitch, Vimm or any other platform you livestream on. You can also **record** your videos directly, without streaming your content, but I will talk from a streamers perspective. So, for me, everything starts with OBS. I need to change settings based on several factors, such as internet speed and the hardware in my PC. This is something most people will do **once**, until they upgrade hardware. > Note: You can often use higher/better settings if you decide to record instead of stream. --- ![vids.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmevkStZFVewPTGqS1og4XsEYim2Y5GxQSVTGe4RiX3rVh/vids.png) --- Whenever I want to make a highlight so I can share that specific moment from my stream with others, there are several steps involved. The first step is to go to my Twitch profile and go to my videos. These are called VODs and I can access them immediately after any stream session. --- ![vids2.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVL1n2njDU8bYN2tNCupHifZANGcKyh6i4CLaa9uMDVd1/vids2.png) I go to the video manager/video studio where I can see **all** my previous VODs and highlights I have made. The **easiest** thing I can do, that requires the least effort, is to simply download an entire VOD and share it wherever I want. For instance on DTube, but I often stream for several hours, so the VOD would be literally **impossible** to upload anywhere due to the file size. You basically just "fill in the blanks". Enter title, tags, information and upload a snap (the cover image you want for your video). **Submit** and your video will be uploaded to DTube for anyone to see. This is the approach for most **average users**, also known as **Basic**. ---

Advanced:

All of the above steps are still required for this. --- You can do literally anything you want in this software, but I will describe how you can simply make a certain moment within the clip go faster than the rest of the video. I will speed up the playback by 4 for a few seconds and then back to the original speed again. --- ![vegas3.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmc5SVkeTt9CWzxmvBmQkkCuQju4vskErFC1wEf7HYB2qw/vegas3.png) --- I open Vegas Pro and I take the clip/highlight I just downloaded, and insert it to Vegas Pro. (I open the file in Vegas Pro). watch the clip in Vegas Pro, decide where I want to add my effects, text, image or whatever else I have in mind and I highlight/mark that section of the clip. I right-click and choose "cut". I also move that part, as shown in the image. This is where I will change the **playback rate**, which makes that moment to go faster than the rest of the video. I change from 1 to **4**, which means that it will go 4x as fast as the rest of the video. I want to add some **music** to the video. I won't cover these in this tutorial. This tutorial, until this point, took me more than **3** hours to compile. It's easy to say that **any** form of video making takes **time** and **effort**.
