Not sure how many people realized it by now, but I had this epiphany during the Sweater vs. Socks Splatfest. On his food truck, Crusty Sean has stickers indicating he accepts credit cards, but when you talk to him, he only allows people to buy his stuff if they have the specific ticket. He admits that he makes the rules, yet he STILL doesn't take down the credit card stickers, so his business contradicts itself! For those of you who don't know, Crust Bucket tickets are SO MUCH harder to obtain than cash. You would either have to participate in Salmon Run (which is not available every day), find them hidden across Octo Valley, or grind for 1500 power eggs in Octo Valley after you max out all your gear for EACH TICKET! Meanwhile, you can get loads of cash just for participating in online battles like Turf War, Ranked, or League, so you'd think payment by credit/debit card is the most convenient. Since he's the one who decided this rule, is it safe to assume that he signed some sort of contract with Grizzco, DJ Octavio, and Callie to distribute tickets to his business? If so, he chose the wrong tactics if he wants more customers, because I get that businesses need some quirks to remain interesting to the public eye, but if the items required to receive service is difficult to obtain, you'll turn away a whole bunch of potential customers, resulting in less income than if you use an easily acquirable method of payment. If he insists on using the ticket system, he should form a contract with a currency conversion stall instead so that players can convert their in-game cash to tickets, but that system would just have as many unnecessary steps as the Splatoon Voice Chat. And while he's at it, he should remove that American Express sticker along with all the other Credit/Debit Card Acceptance stickers, because having that displayed when he doesn't accept them is borderline false advertising and those who want to pay in cash (myself included) will be turned off when they hear the news, resulting in EVEN LESS potential customers! JUST ACCEPT CASH AS PAYMENT, CRUSTY SEAN!!! OR DO YOU WANT THE CRUST BUCKET TO HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF CUSTOMER TRAFFIC AS THE CHUM BUCKET??!!
