# Welcome to The Fresh Five!
Hi, I'm [Adam](https://steemit.com/@aussieninja) and I'll be introducing new and exciting Steemians to the community. [The Fresh Five](https://steemit.com/@thefreshfive) account was set up by [Mike](https://steemit.com/@mikepm74), who'll be working towards creating and administering Fresh Five competitions and contests to help kick start our brand new friends and get them involved in the community. To be honest, Zack created the longest and most detailed intro post I've ever read (although he did accidentally double it up) and tells a complex story of the hardships of family life in Nigeria.
