"This was formed more than 200 million years ago, when this area was a desert of dunes that moved according to the wind Over time, the sand became sandstone, and the erosion was carved. The "dunes" that make up the spectacular forms of "the Wave", are lined by the Liesegang Bands. formed by the movement and precipitation of oxidizable materials, such as iron and manganese through water. Its walls are sculpted sandstone rocks product of erosive processes, these also have some points up to 40 meters high, which are varied due to the topography of the area.
