Welcome guys to my blog once again. Today I will be participating on the trading competition going on in the steemit crypto academy. This week I will be joining the team frontline which is controlled by professor @shemul21 and @abdu.navi03

****** The name and introduction of the project token, and which exchange can be traded on, project/technical/team background, etc ******

The name of the token project I will be discussing in this section is Polkadot (DOT). The project was established in 2016 with the following persons been team of it's formation, Gavin Wood, Robert Habermeier, Peter Czaban. DOT is the native token that is use to perform various transaction on the Polkadot blockchain platform. The blockchain major aim is to connect all block chain project together so that they will all communicate with each other effectively without any gap between them. Polkadot blockchain also tends to solve all the problem of security, scalability and decentralization that are usually faced by all other block chain.

Just as I have earlier stated above, the DOT token is a native token use in the Polkadot blockchain. This means that all form of transaction like staking, buying, reward etc is done using the DOT token on the Polkadot blockchain platform.

The token is listed on most of the major exchange platform like Binance, Poloniex, Huobi, KuCoin etc. As at the time of performing this task, I took an analysis of the said token on coinmarketcap.com and the details I found out about the token are seen below.

The above table shows the data obtained from market cap on the token taken into consideration as at the time where the assignment task is been done.

****** Why am I optimistic on this token today ******

The Polkadot blockchain as we have seen aims at solving issues associated with different block chain and for that reason we have seen that the project is interested in security, scalability and decentralization. Note also, that due to this future associate with the Polkadot blockchain, more users are finding the project very interesting and there by buying lots of the DOT token.

As of today, I saw that the price of the token keep increasing and that is an evidence that they said asset will definitely rise.

****** Analysis of the Token ******

Here in this section, my analysis was carried out using the tradingview.com, I also made use of the Median indicator to spot the position of my trade. The chart below is a pair of DOTUSDT on a 5 Minutes timeframe. It's actually an analysis I made on a very short timeframe since I happen to be a scaple trader.

From the above screenshot, the median indicator was applied on the chart. In the median indicator when the asset is moving in an upward direction, a green cloud is formed and when the asset is moving in bearish direction a purple cloud is form. So when traders using the median indicator come across the green cloud it is a signal to enter a buy entry and when the purple cloud is seen it is a signal to sell the asset.

I notice the asset is moving in an upward direction and the green cloud was also seen then using my verified binance exchange platform, I entered a buy order. I bought the asset when the price is at 20.17 using a market order.

I used the market order so that the transaction will be executed immediately. I intend selling the asset when the price goes up. Below is the detail of my buy transaction.

I set the sell price to be 20.25 which the price finally got to the level and the trade executed living me with little profit. I do not have intention of holding the said token for long at the time being. The reason is that the little token I have on my wallet is what I want to use in trading other crypto currency at the course of the trading competition going on in the academy. Nevertheless, I will purchase this tolen and hold when I have more asset on my account because there are higher probability that the asset will definitely rise.

****** Would I recommend people to buy DOT ******

Yes, I recommend anyone who has money that he/she don't intend using at the moment to invest in this project because it is really a project that has a potential and a future raise. The project as I have explained is very secured and for that reason no need to be scared as regarding losing anything, the project won't fold because of the higher expectation it is having at the moment.

****** Conclusion ******

The Polkadot blockchain aims at connecting all other block chain together. As we have seen, the issues of security, scalability and decentralization has been handled by the project. The median indicator on the other is a very important indicator which helps traders to know when to buy or sell their asset using the green cloud and purple cloud to give buy and sell signal respectively.
