Some places don’t just serve food — they curate moments. Self Edge is one of them. Tucked away behind understated doors, it offers more than a meal: it offers balance — between texture and temperature, sharp citrus and subtle umami, tradition and bold creativity. We began our evening with a glass of Self Edge Yuzu, the house-made yuzu sake. Lightly cloudy, pale yellow, fragrant with fresh peel and sun-ripened citrus — it was a perfect welcome. Bright and zesty with just a touch of sweetness, it danced between the palate and the imagination. 🥂 Self Edge Yuzu House specialty. A citrus-forward sake made with Japanese yuzu fruit. Taste: Vibrant, fragrant, slightly tart. Best paired with: Crispy starters or dessert. The first dish arrived like a quiet statement. Crispy rice squares topped with spicy tuna tartare, wasabi pearls, and microgreens. The rice was crunchy, the fish soft and rich, the toppings precise. Three perfect slices of yellowtail, paired with shiso leaf, fresh wasabi, and pickled ginger. Simple. Beautiful.
