Art is a language of emotion, and pencil drawing is one of its purest forms—minimal, raw, and deeply expressive. I sought to capture the essence of a fallen angel in mid-air, frozen in a dramatic moment of fall and loss. ## step by step process ## step 1 I began with my drawing, I started by drawing it's head and then mapping out the figure with very light strokes using a 2H pencil. ## step 2 Next I move on to the wings. Wings are one of the most intricate parts of this drawing. ## step 5 Now it’s time to bring my drawing to life with shading. I Used a range of pencils—2B for darker tones, and an HB or 2H for lighter areas. For the wings, I used short, light pencil strokes to replicate the texture of feathers. ## step 6 Finally, I went over to my drawing and darken the outlines where necessary, particularly in areas meant to draw attention, like the tips of the wings or the extended hand. Drawing a fallen angel with pencil is both a technical and emotional journey. This image conveys loss, beauty, and movement—all captured in a piece of paper using pencil. By mastering form, feather detail, and expressive shading, you can create a piece that speaks volumes without a single word.
