April 25, 2025🖤 It's been a month since the most special and magical day of our lives. After six incredible years together and almost two years of engagement, @sachisewwandi and I finally tied the knot. It was a tough yet beautiful love story we shared, especially being in a long-distance relationship. Anyway, we took our story to the next level, and the Magic continues! We planned it for months, as there were various things to be considered. It was exhausting, but fun when we recall them now. In December last year, we fixed the date and times for the rituals as the start. We planned it as a one-day function close to her hometown. So, after looking for many venues, we booked [Wasana Hotel and Resort](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Wasana+Hotel/@6.0953413,80.4799849,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x3ae1424155fb6e45:0x785d5d52b126a25c!8m2!3d6.0953413!4d80.4825598!16s%2Fg%2F11b633y8n2!5m1!1e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDUyMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) in Akuressa. We received a pretty good deal there with a complete package including the A/C Reception Hall, Food, Dancing team, decorations, and execution of rituals, DJ & Music, etc. As the owner provided the whole event planning and Management, it's easy for us from there. Then, eventually, we selected the Jewelry, photographer, salons, outfits, cake, etc.

----------------------- After waiting and waiting, our day finally arrived. She left for dressing almost midnight, and I went to see my beautiful girl at around 5.30 a.m. She looked gorgeous, like an angel in her white wedding dress. Mrs. Pramila has done a good job enhancing her natural beauty, and exactly the way she wanted. Our Morning photography session was held at [Amaloh Boutique Resort, Matara](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Amaloh+Boutique+Resort/@5.9397495,80.5271497,17z/data=!4m9!3m8!1s0x3ae13ed97a36e7d1:0xa7e66ce23cea0538!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d5.9397495!4d80.5297246!16s%2Fg%2F1yfjjdn13!5m1!1e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDUyMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D), very beautifully designed destination by the sea. It was so romantic, and Jasitha Malli captured some amazing pictures of us.

----------------------- The ceremony started at 9.00 a.m. in the Wasana Hotel. My family and I were welcomed by her family along with a traditional Kandyan dance and normal rituals. The atmosphere was amazing with soft florals, warm lighting, docos, and our closest people. I could see everything we’ve been through, and we are going to achieve together in the future during the Poruwa Ceremony. We were emotional, our parents were emotional, during the rituals when we vowed to take each other's hands forever. ![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYo2Y88V3g3KwToW4sFp9JUFXVSRceFk5KmvXm4DrGca5/image.png) The reception hall was full of joy, as it was a family gathering after a long time. We invited around 150 altogether. We two were busy talking to each other, taking photographs, etc. In the first half, people received a welcome drink, Milk rice, and traditional Sri Lankan sweets. And then a bit of Alcohol too. The lunch was served at around 12.30 p.m. It's just what we expected. She was just beautiful in the Red Lehenga. Everyone was singing and dancing at the moment, and we also got to taste that with them. Everyone was enjoying and celebrating our special day. When we left the ceremony for our honeymoon, after all the rituals and goodbyes, we were more than happy. Everything was perfect and awesome, just like the way we expected. To be honest, we were on a limited budget, but it was a simple and beautiful day for us, without any heartbreak/ misunderstanding.
