Everybody has a silent companion. My silent friend follows me everywhere I go until there are lights. It never talks or makes noise, yet it always follows me in silence. They believe it to be a ghost. I never believe that there are ghosts. Shadows are used to give scary and mysterious figures in fairy tales and ghost stories. When a shadow appears near my window at night, I get up and turn on the light, but all I see is a moving branch of the actual tree. What is causing these shadows to appear? It's a science: when light falls on an object and is obstructed, the space behind it that cannot receive light turns black. We call this shadows. In my childhood, I thought it was magic, but later I understood it was a simple science. Shadow always imitates our actions. It jumps when we jump. Until there is light, the shadow never leaves us. On hot days, we seek cover from the sun by remaining beneath the shade of trees and buildings. We are kept cool and comfortable by the shadows cast by buildings and trees.
