Share with us one captivating picture about anything at all and tell us story.

There are some pictures you plan for, makeup done, pose arranged, angles checked. But this one? It wasn’t planned at all. And maybe that’s what made it so special. I still remember that day clearly, even though it’s been a while now. It was just one of those normal office days. Nothing fancy, no event. I was upstairs in the office, working and laughing with my colleagues like we usually did. We always had this playful energy in the office sometimes serious, sometimes joking. That day, I went downstairs with two of my colleagues to buy something. It wasn’t anything deep. Just a random moment. But somehow, that moment turned into something I still cherish till today. I had no idea how I looked that day, to be honest. I wasn’t dressed for a shoot. But the dress I was wearing was beautiful, and I think it added something to the whole scene. When we got downstairs, one of our staff members, someone who had actually taught me how to take pictures and edit back then picked up the office camera. He was one of the people I really looked up to when I started learning about photography...

What made that picture special?

...He looked at me, called my name, and told me to “look up” or something funny like that. I don’t even remember exactly what it was, maybe something about the way I were standing or my face. But it made me laugh. I looked up at him… He cracked a joke, something silly and unexpected , and I smiled. Not just any smile… the kind that comes from deep inside, the kind you don’t fake. And in that exact moment no pose, no warning, he snapped the photo. After he took the picture, he just smiled at me like, You’ll thank me later. And honestly, I did. When I saw the photo, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it looked. Not just because of the dress or the angle, but because it captured a version of me that I don’t always see, calm, smiling, alive, and natural.

Was it any special event, or something that quickly caught your eye?

It wasn’t a special event. I didn’t plan it. I didn’t dress up for it. I didn’t even pose. But somehow, it became one of my favourite pictures of all time. The background wasn’t perfect. You could tell it was outside, close to the road. People were passing, cars were moving, and you could even sense that city hustle behind me. But somehow, that rawness made the picture even more powerful. It was real life in the background, and me, just being me, in the middle of it.

Did it remind you of Any story, or Inspire you to write one for our story lovers??

When I look at that picture now, it reminds me of how far I’ve come. It wasn’t just about photography for me. It was about the journey. That same staff who took the photo? He was one of the few people who made me believe I could do it. That’s why I chose this picture for the contest. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s personal. It holds laughter, mentorship, growth, memory, and beauty, all wrapped up in one single shot. It reminds me of the beginning, of when I was just starting to understand what photography meant to me. And how one kind person holding a camera helped me see myself differently.

Was it taken by you or any professional photographer?

So to answer, yes the picture was taken by a professional photographer. But more than that, it was taken by someone who believed in me when I didn’t fully believe in myself yet. Someone who handed me a camera and showed me the magic behind it. And that moment, that laughter, that glance upward , that was me, captured at a time when I was still learning, still growing, still figuring things out.
