Young Adam is angry and sad. He recently lost his father. He feels alone and misunderstood. When the older Adam sees him, he remembers the pain he had buried for years. They joke, argue and even cry together. Their relation becomes the strength of this movie story. The older Adam helps the younger one heal. The two Adams return to their timelines. Young Adam finally hugs his mother, something he never did before.
