Homemade Pizza / Pizza Casera

Many of us love pizza, it is the quintessential fast food. Particularly, it is my favorite. The combinations can be almost infinite, the essence is to prepare a good dough and from there let your imagination fly in tastes, flavors, textures and even colors. >Muchos amamos la pizza, es la comida rápida por excelencia. Particularmente, es mi preferida. Las combinaciones pueden ser casi infinitas, la esencia está en preparar una buena masa y de allí dejar volar la imaginación en gustos, sabores, texturas y hasta colores.

This pizza recipe that I share with you today is very quick and easy to prepare, with few ingredients, but very delicious. >Esta receta de pizza que hoy les comparto, es muy rápida y fácil de preparar, con pocos ingredientes, pero muy deliciosa.

Ingredients

Dough

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp of yeast
1 tsp sugar or honey
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
olive oil

Others

1 can chopped tomatoes seasoned with oregano
300 grs mozzarella cheese
1 large tomato
fresh basil

2 1/2 tazas de harina
1 cdta. levadura
1 cdta. azúcar o miel
1 cdta. sal
1 taza de agua tibia
aceite de oliva

Otros

1 lata de tomates troceados sazonados con orégano
300 grs queso mozzarella
1 tomate grande
albahaca fresca

Preparation / Preparación

Add the sugar (or honey) and yeast to the cup of warm water, stir well to dissolve, and let sit for approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Let the dough sit for about an hour and a half. >Luego de esto, formamos una bola con la masa, la untamos con un poco de aceite de oliva, la tapamos con un paño. Dejamos reposar la masa por aproximadamente una hora y media.

After this time, roll out the dough with your hands or with the help of a rolling pin. >Pasado este tiempo, extender la masa con las manos o con la ayuda de un rodillo.

Add the crushed tomatoes and let it sit again for about 30 minutes. >Añada los tomates triturados y déjelo reposar de nuevo durante unos 30 minutos.

Now it is time to add the mozzarella cheese, tomato slices and fresh basil to taste. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Ahora es el momento de añadir el queso mozzarella, las rodajas de tomate y la albahaca fresca al gusto. >Hornea en el horno precalentado de 15 a 20 minutos.
