Greetings everyone, Welcome to Nature and Agriculture Community. Friends, today I have come to introduce you to the new Nature and Agriculture Community. This community was born to hold a part of the platform that we associate with nature and agriculture. In this post I will introduce you to our committee activities and what we are working on and introduce my team and this community. So let's begin. |**Importance and Scope of Nature and Agriculture** |- Thus, there exists a mutually dependent connection of NATURE and AGRICULTURE which is in fact vital for existence of life on our planet. This is perhaps the perfect place to advance the significance of nature as a component in agriculture owing to the fact that it is the most vital factor that gives out the building blocks needed for food production, ecosystem as well as home to biodiversity. On the other hand, agriculture is relevant in the dynamics of natural environment and landscape via land use. **Ecosystem Services:** The ecosystem services of nature are essential for sustaining agricultural yields. Such services include: seed dispersal and pollination by insects, the cycling of nutrients with the help of soil organisms, purifying water by pulling pollutants from water systems, and control of nuisance organisms by natural predators among others. Sustainable natural systems on their part improve the ability of agricultural systems to withstand pests and diseases. **Biodiversity:** Biodiversity is very important due to support for the genetic diversity of crops and animals that are reared for consumption. Because of this the crop will be better adapted to new environmental scourges such as climate change or new pests. Moreover, something wild genotypes of the cultivated one may contain the genes that will increase virus tolerance or yield, for instance. Most of the proposals of the project are important since agriculture has been central on provision of foods for increasing population in the world. It extends to the preparation not only of the food but also in terms of its availability to consumers or the population. Whereas, the following benefits link agriculture to national economies since it employs many people, creates income sources for farmers, and cultivates rural development. Such practices being cultural exercises that are tied to the societal context of practicing communities, especially in the agricultural word. They influence the sort of food that people consume, the ways through which food is prepared, and the communal properties individuals have. The contemporary concepts of farming chiefly emphasize sustainable methods with a view to ensuring a supply to the present generation while at the same time taking into consideration the supply to future generations and the overall impacts on the planet. These have advanced agricultural practices into efficient farming techniques such as precision farming and GMOs that have replaced old-practiced farming styles to meet the world’s increasing demand and at the same time take care of the environment. Agriculture is related to natural resources as crop requiring soil, water, and biophysical environment, but at the same time many agricultural practices cause or alleviate deterioration or improvement of these resources respectively. Organic farming therefore encompasses production of food crops in a way that can feed the people in a balanced manner while at the same time maintaining the soil fertility and conserving the natural resources. Speaking about climate change adaptability, awareness of and actions to protect agroecological methods and the adequate usage of resources can help. Finally, balanced inter sophistication of the agricultural systems and the natural ecosystems is a critical factor for long-term sustainability and solving global issues on food production.
