Introduction

| |- As humans, we are *creature of wants* which means that no matter how much we have, we always want more. It does not matter whether we want more or less, one thing is sure **at any point in life, we have reasons to show gratitude**.

What Is gratitude in your own opinion?

| |- Gratitude is having a fine attitude towards the things we have and appreciating the value they add to our lives. It is acknowledging the things we have and showing that we value them. It is being conscious of all the good things that we have in our lives and being grateful for them. Why Does Gratitude Matter?

| |- Gratitude matters a lot in anything we do and anywhere we are. When we show gratitude: First, we acknowledge what we have or what was given to us. By acknowledging what was given to us, we acknowledge the giver and appreciate the giver. When we acknowledge the giver, this can open more doors and make the giver more likely to give us more. Second, when we show gratitude, we show that we value what was given to us and this expression of value means that we will take care of the gift and treasure it. >When we are grateful for things, we value and take care of them.

How often do you show Gratitude?

| |- Honestly, I’d say I should be more grateful. I’m grateful mostly to God and then to the people in my lives. Most days, when I wake up in the morning or get home after the day’s work. I say, ‘Thank You God’, acknowledging God for the *Gift of Life* that He has given me and the protection He offers. One instance that proves my gratitude expression is when I wrote my project acknowledgment, I didn’t just say family and friends, I took time to mention and acknowledge the people that assisted, thereby showing gratitude for their help.

How Can You Make Gratitude a Habit, And how do you inculcate it in young ones?

| |- By always thinking about how my life can be without those *little* things. Those things we normally undervalue and take for granted, if we sit down and imagine our lives without them, then we will see how much value they add to our lives and make our lives easier. The best way to teach children is by example. Children are more likely to carry out an action they see in another person than if only they were told to do so. Conclusion

| |- It is true that times are hard, still, we do have a lot to be grateful for and show gratitude. Life itself is a valuable and expensive, and no matter the level of difficulty we are in, we should always be grateful and remember that it could have been so much worse, and as much as there is life, it can get better if we show a positive attitude.
