Glad to have you back on this week’s edition of the contest. Hope we all are doing just great. I would like to appreciate @sitaraindaryas for organising this amazing contest. I believe this particular contest was organised specifically for people like me, if not for me. Just last week, I saw this contest and decided not to participate because I didn’t see the need to. But this week, this is me sharing my moment with you from the bottom of my heart.

Tell us about your shocking moments

Without taking too much of our time, I’d dive straight into the business of the day. I joined steemit a couple of years back, August 2022 to be precise. Since then, trust me when I say I have really struggled. Through the years of hustling and hoping, I never had the shock of my life like I did yesterday. After I got back from church yesterday, I went through my phone for some messages that were unread. Just after that, I decided to come on steemit to see the available contests that were up already. I like to plan ahead for the contests I want to participate in for the week. Sometimes, just like my last post, I get to post my content late. Not because I write these posts when it’s almost over. Instead, I write a lot of content on the same day, but the time to apply the marking down style, editing and proofreading take most of the time. The images and designs are things that also take more than I could think of.

What you realised and what you did at this moment

I realised something very dramatic. It was breath-taking, unbelievable, shocking, because it was definitely more than surprising. I realised I was hugely supported for the first time since I joined this platform. I realised the steemcurator01 voted on one of my posts through the nomination or suggestion of @genomil.

I didn’t expect it. I wrote. It was just a girl bringing her heart to her keyboard during one of the contests organised by @okere-blessing. Boom! And that was me being selected for an upvote by steemcurator01.

Your moments on steemit platform when you were shocked?

Yesterday, steemit had me screaming for almost five minutes straight. I have always been praying and hoping for a support from the steemcurator01. It never came. During the time, I still had my hopes high, working, praying, trusting. Rewards are a big way of motivation. One factor that encourages anyone to keep up with what they do is to motivate them with something. While I didn’t get what I wanted the time I wanted it, I continued doing what I have always been passionate about—writing. People win here, I read from them, see the various styles they used and their structure which is built principally on consistency.

Bottom line is that someone sees you. They may not say so. They may choose to learn quietly. But our efforts are always seen. It only takes time for those efforts to pay back in volumes.
