Starting from a short discussion with @pennsif, then he mentioned the name @thegreens, founder of #environment-club in Cameroon, then in several communications continued by admin #steem-environment @arul.ellyazhar agreed to unite these 2 communities. Certainly this is a step forward, we have planned to create a community roadmap for 2022, which is likely to be released in the next few weeks, as we will be finishing some background work. >We have learned many new lessons from Mr. @thegreens in the last few days, and we are very optimistic about this move. In this post, as the initiator and personal, I want to congratulate you on this collaboration, and I invite all environmentalists/environmental defenders to enliven this community, moreover we really want to hear stories about the struggle to save the environment from Cameroon. I have worked on environmental advocacy issues since 2000 and from 2004-2019 led a Local NGO (Intitute devender Environment & Human Rights – LPL-Ha) and also joined the National NGO (Indonesian) Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia (WALHI) as a member for the province of Aceh. ![me1.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVhDHTcQbRFkSuMfbadogDRCatzWLb7Za3hDCmug5Ufx5/me1.jpeg) In 2017, I got to know Steemit and got an account in december 2017, wrote various things. And at the end of 2021, I and several environmental activists who are also steemian took the initiative to bring these environmental issues into cyberspace, namely steemit. During the period 2000 – now, I have always been involved with environmental issues in my area, but in collaboration with mr @thegreens I was eager to see posts by nature lovers and environmentalists from Cameroon, so that we could share experiences. The hope is that the struggle to green nature will make progress. We also hope that in the future the virtual world, especially steemit, can make a real contribution to efforts to save the environment through actions that will be carried out by administrators or members of the #steem-environment community, namely the donation payout funds given to the community account @hive-161774 will be used for actions to save the environment, whether through virtual activities such as holding contests, or taking real actions, and can also sponsor activities outside the community for organizations that love and advocate for the environment, this can simultaneously promote steem to the general public.
