Introduction

Ordinarily the bull run is a period when we expect some bullish actions, it's a time where many believe that every cryptocurrency that is of worth atleast would rise to the moon it's a time when the social media goes abuzz with news of cryptocurrency when cryptocurrency takes up the mass media, cryptocurrency bull season is a period of time when everyone wants to see major price action and believe it will yield unimaginable profit to long invested funds. That's the idea of bull season we know, or that's what we used to feel bull run is about, we typically feel it's a long standing period of time where the market will rise but then it seems over time the idea of bull run is no longer what it used to be, it feels like what we normally expects from bull run isn't really what we are seeing making many wonder if truly there is a bull season or if the market typically move in phases a time of uptrend or downtrend, infact it seems our idea of bull run has changed. In truth the cryptocurrency bull run continues to evolve or the idea guiding it continues to change making us wonder if it's still a bull run, well to a large extent I believe the idea of bull season still holds true but recent evolvement over the years have seen some of the concept of what we thought bull season is have rather changed, it's no longer what we know and that's for obvious reasons ofcourse and today I will share some thoughts about some ways or how the idea of cryptocurrency bull season has evolved over time. **Market Maturity** This is the area where cryptocurrency has evolved and that is in the area of market maturity, for this reason it has seen the market changed from what it used to be and market maturity has seen the idea of bull season evolved take for instance the earlier days going back to the days before 2017, then the market was driven mainly by retail investors, speculators and hype and then there was very little institutional investors like there is today. So institutions having lesser involvement in those days made the market to be more volatile as hype and speculation with large retailers driving the market and then the cryptocurrency market was relatively new which gave further rise to volatile movement, so in the era then the market during bull run things were more volatile than there were today because the market has since matured with institutional investors and hedge funds as well as other venture capitalist coming into the cryptocurrency market now. Now unlike before when hype and speculation and retail investors drive the relatively new market now these big investors has made the market to be less volatile during bull seasons though it could be more substantial but the market is no longer driven by pure hype as in the days past when hype and speculation alone is capable of driving a coin to great heights but now it's no longer that way, the market in a way today is relatively more stable than in the days past, so market maturity over time has been one key aspect behind the change in our idea of bull season. ![web-4682713_1280 (2).webp](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTqcsSP68gisDajQjem8XH5C1wbFoXt3Mkn6oRs8NMyVf/web-4682713_1280%20(2).webp) [Source](https://pixabay.com/images/search/blockchain/?pagi=2) **Regulation** Another thing that plays a part that have shaped cryptocurrency bull run is regulations, regulation have to a large extent really influenced cryptocurrency bull run, in the years past cryptocurrency was really not regulated it was relatively unregulated at least compared to now and for this reason then cryptocurrency prices often experience huge price swings, do the the relative nature of cryptocurrency regulations years past it made the price to often experience massive swings and usually in the bull run those swings comes rather positively. In a relatively unregulated cryptocurrency market like we had years back it made the market to be more prone to speculative trading, in truth this had it advantage due to the huge returns in short time but then there were little or no protection for investors something that many are fighting against today, infact government all around the world are now more fixated in cryptocurrency like never before and because of this fixation it has led to uncertainty even in times where we expect bullish price actions. We have policies like tax reporting which was not there before and there is anti-money laundering rules and other securities law, now these many rules was created to protect investors but then it has also added to uncertainties in the market and people now care about the regulations of the government before investing so the regulations today which continues to change and the sudden interest of the government in cryptocurrency trying to put it in check has also led to change to the idea of cryptocurrency bull season. **Macro Factors** Macro factor is one of the reason behind the evolving of cryptocurrency bull run, in years back when we hear of bull markets they were not really tied to global financial events or conditions, unlike now it seems the financial conditions of the globe majorly affects cryptocurrency, during previous bull seasons it seems cryptocurrency is completely isolated from global financial conditions and they were instead driven majorly by halving events of Bitcoin or other crypto related events and this caused the massive gains witnessed then. But today things has changed infact cryptocurrency prices are often manipulated or influenced by the global financial world which is not so before and things now globally as it concerns finance is shaky which has lead to shaky and uncertain price action despite the season supposedly is a bull season but then events in the world seems to be impacting cryptocurrency bull run now more than ever and now people are now beginning to view cryptocurrency as a hedge unlike before people wished cryptocurrency could replace fiat and run to it for safe haven. Now since this is the case many wished for a more stable cryptocurrency and speak against the extreme volatility in the market in fact Bitcoin is refered to as digital gold, people now look to cryptocurrency and wish for it to offer them stability that fiat has seemingly failed to offer. So now prices are affected more by macro economic factor much more than any specific cryptocurrency events, things like interest rate data now plays a major role in determining the trend of the market, so bull run evolving is also due to macro factors today. **Investor Sentiment** Sentiment of the investors are another contributing factor behind cryptocurrency bull season changing from what we used to know, many clamor for what it's seen as a good old days whilst others believe this time is better. Before in years back market sentiment was largely driven only by a early crypto adopters or the small group of crypto enthusiast which is when fomo was the major driver of prices going up in cryptocurrency bull market. Then during bull season social media and other news forum was the major driver fueling speculations leading to increase in prices, take for instance the last bull run was Dogecoin the memecoin was almost at the forefront experiencing rapid increase often from a tweet from Elon Musk and then it was much easier for whales to manipulate prices since there is lesser institutional involvement, so this was what made the previous bull season years to be quiet different. In previous bull season years it becomes rather easier for coins to experience massive swing due to investor sentiment which could be influenced from social media and then the investors depending on the sentiment which normally during bull season is rather bullish help to drive price wildly to the up side and for best market it lead to a wild decrease in price as well, such was how the cryptocurrency market was at the time such hype leads to irrational behaviour from cryptocurrency prices which many skilled ones profit from whilst ruining others as well. Because of how easily investors sentiment was influenced in the days past it made the bull season then very different than what we know today. Conclusion

In all cryptocurrency bull run has evolved truly but it remains to be seen if it's for the better or for the worse, I believe we would have to wait till the end of this one which I don't honestly know if it's still on, from now till the end of 2025 the present year I believe we would have our answer. Ofcourse I honestly hope this evolvement is for the better but then much remains to be seen only time will time, will joyfully observe while taking note and learning, because the market always present an opportunity to learn, it's a teacher that keeps teaching.
