I woke up today very hungry and I know a lot of us can relate to this. yesterday was a lot to talk about but I would leave that for another. I was so busy and stressed yesterday that I lost interest in food. by the time I got back home by pass 8pm I was exusted. the only thing I could eat was peanuts and that was it for the day. little did I know I was going to be woken up by hunger. waking up to this about of hunger, I quickly rushed to the market to get some food stuff for soup. oh you need to see how I was picking offence with everybody in the market, people thought I had woken up from the wrong side of the bed because of how easily provoked I was at the market. indeed and hungry man is an angry man but in my case and angry woman. the only food that could satisfy this hunger can only be soup and swallow. By the time I was done with the market after all the unnecessary drama, I was finally home to make my soup and swallow. well I totally forgot to take pictures of the making process because the only thing on my mind as at that time was to eat me. making white soup does not require a lot of process, probably it's my own way of making it. ^INGREDIENTS| ---| * For powder ( for thickener) * protein (fish and chicken) * dry fish * cry fish * Maggi cube * salt * pepper * uziza leaf * ogiri ^{MAKING PROCESS}| ---| Well I added everything to the pot excluding my pepper, Ofor powder and uziza. allow it all to cook for about 30 minutes, next I added my pepper and Ofor powder . allow it to cool for additional 30 minutes. after which I add my vegetable and allow to cook for another 5 minutes adjusting the teast with some salt. finally my soup was ready ![IMG_20241216_114603_099.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcKhYy9RBV7kSVY3Khtxts8oBag4RrFRL8AbxeAYJVtDd/IMG_20241216_114603_099.jpg) A lot of Nigerians would argue with this process but please argue with me some other time because today am very hungry and you know what they say about pregnant woman and hunger 😊 A bow of big swallow was set before me by my humble self and as I stared at this mountain I remembered an incident that happened in 2016 during my NYSC days. one sweet morning I and a friend of my who came back from Canada just for the youth service went to a restaurant for breakfast and as we sat there waiting for our order another man worked in and ordered for 6 wraps of fufu with egusi soup. as they brought his other my friend could not help but asked bif the man was going to finish that food. while we were still struggling with 2 small packs of noodles and two eggs, this man had already finished his. oh my friend felt like she had seen an alien. according to her it is one thing to eat this heavy in the morning and it's yet another thing to eat that quantity of food this morning and that fast too.
