| |- Self-care is the best form of love! People tend to confuse self-care with selfishness. To me self-care is getting the best you deserve for yourself; and as long as you are not doing it at the expense of other people, then it is not really selfishness. I am happy that moderator @khursheedanwar created this contest to allow us share our thoughts.

What is the importance of self-care?

| |- It is very important to take care of yourself. One of the benefit of treating yourself right is that people won’t take advantage of you because you already know your self-worth. And the truth is, these days, everyday are just busy and trying to cope with the economy so people don’t really have time to take care of other people, so it is left for you to take care of yourself as no one will do it for you. Another thing is that when you take good care of yourself, people see that and people generally admire those kind of people that knows what is good for them and goes for it. Also, they won’t view you as being a liability.

| **I disagree**. Even the Bible says love others as you love yourself. Being able to love others centers anchors on you loving yourself.
