Steemians! Hope you are all doing well. Today I'm here with a new achievement post which is “**Understanding curation and community**”. So I will try to describe how curation works in Steem. Like other social media platforms, you can like or dislike someone's content. You need sufficient voting power to vote. The process of reward distribution is called curation. When you receive an upvote, after 7 days you will receive a 50% author reward. A reward will not be given if you do not get any upvotes on your blog or post. 👉: **What happens if you vote on a post less than 5 minutes after posting?** As you know when you get an upvote on your post you will receive a 50% author reward after 7 days and the curator will get another 50% reward. If you upvote a post before 5 minutes, then a specific percentage of the curation reward gets put back in the reward pool. You can understand this better by looking at the following table. Time | Curation Reward | Reward Pool --------- | ---------- | ----------- 1 Min | 20℅ | 80 % | 2 Min | 40% | 60 % | 3 Min | 60% | 40 % | 4 Min | 80%| 20 ℅ | 5 Min | 100% | 0 %| 👉 **Who will you vote for Steem Witness And Why?** I would prefer to vote for **@justyy** and **@steamchiller**. **@justyy** for **steemyy.com** and **@steemchiller** for **Steemworld.org**.
