This is a political story in which many people believe that politics is not a game that is for the weak but for the strong and for those who have the connection. There was this well-known politician in my state who was loved so much by his people as he was known to be very supportive and vibrant for his people when he was governor.
He was a governor for 8 years, speaking boldly against what was happening at the federal level of government, which made him become so renowned in the country. In his state, when he was serving as a governor, he did so many things for his people, but his one problem was greed and how he spoke anyhow, especially when he was drunk, and he liked being in power and wanted to control everything.
He is known as a power grabber. During the election, he nominated his best friend to be the governor of the state so that after his term in office, he would still have control over the affairs of the state, especially the treasury of the state, since his ambition was to become president. After the election, his candidate won the election and became the governor of the state and selected his predecessor for a federal appointment, which he was given one of the best appointments in Nigeria.
Despite all this, he was still not satisfied because his love for money was too obvious. He became a greedy person who also wanted to have a share in the state treasury, but the governor was not in support of his decision to control the state. The issues started escalating with a division in the legislative assembly, in which those who were loyal to the minister who was once a governor were in support of the minister, whereas some legislators in the house were not in support, saying that the current governor should be allowed to do his work.
The legislative house then got divided and those who were in support of what the minister was doing started trying to impeach the governor, and the governor was smart enough to declare their seat vacant, the issue started arising in the state, trying to cause anarchy in the state as the matter was taken to court which is now at the apex (supreme court) level.
