This contest is a very interested contest that is mostly happening in our various homes and family. Here am going to talk more about domestic violence according to the contest title.

What do you know about Domestic Violence? Explain in 2 paragraphs.

| |- Many families as been passing through this violence and it is affecting the children in the house even affect people around as well. Let me firstly explain what is **domestic**: domestic is anything that occurs in the home, or live in the home. It can either be animals, equipment etc. whenever domestic is added to anything, it means is home stuff. **Violence**: when talking about violence, it is absent of peace, when there is war, conflict, fighting, all such of things. Briefly Explain at least three main types of domestic Violence.

| |- There are so many types of domestic violence that regularly happening in our environment today, and it is not a good thing for it to continue, am going to talk about four of them I earlier mentioned. 1. Physical abuse: this is when people are forced to take an action which is harmful to them in anyway round, like maltreating, beating, fighting, using of weapon, slapping, kicking, bunching etc. And this things are not supposed to be done. 2. Psychological/Emotional abuse: this is an action that ours to human at home that affect the mental health of a person which is been formed by other member of the house, either the husband or wife which in form of insults, using hurt words etc. 3. Sexual abuse: this happens between both partners in the house, forcefully having sex with the partner or even someone else. 4. Why is it important to raise awareness about domestic violence in society?

| |- It is very important announce an awareness about domestic violence and how it should be stop, because it is not contributing to growth of a family. Without the awareness of it, the next generation will go ahead and do the same violence to their next generation family. Domestic violence also can lead to death of human, physical and even spiritually, fighting in a family can easily leads to death of other person, or even the children who don't like such manner. It can even lead to commiting of suicide, so it should be announce and make known to people to stop Domestic violence. Without the awareness of Domestic violence it can also leads to homelessness, orphans, stealing, killing, bad society. Have you ever seen a real case of domestic Violence in your life? Tell us about it.

| |- They are many real case of domestic violence in our community, which I am going to share my own experience. It was when I traveled to my aunty's house during my holiday when I was still in junior secondary school, I traveled to meet my aunty in her house where she is staying with the husband and the children. Arriving to the house, everything was going very fine and smoothly, after some few days, like couple of three to four days, I noticed that my aunty have been pretending as if all is well, but it wasn't all that well as I felt before. My aunty will be the one going to market to sell things and buy food stuff for the family, feeding the family, I later realize that she is also the one paying children school fees as well. She took the responsibility of the husband and and also the responsibility of the wife. All what the husband was up to is to drink alcohol, come back late to the house and ask of food which he did not provide for, if there is no food the will start to quarrel and he will beat my aunty, shouting everywhere and I began to feel bad and wanted going back to my own place. This act as been continuing for longtime and my Aunty was pretending even when she comes to the village, meeting her family people should will not let them know what is going on, but as I notice this, I felt so badly. In the morning time she came out like as if nothing had happened in the night, because this fighting was inside their room, and younger child, which was about 4years was crying for the mother also. This leads the mother which is my aunty to start sending the children to market to sell things and bring money for the family to feed, a child of 9years was hucking on the street which is not right. When I went back after holiday, I make this known to my parents and they took action about it, the man was been called for some queries in the family, and he was ask the reason of all his rudeness to the wife, and wasn't at the meeting, so I don't really know his answer. But thank God they are doing well now according to the woman, whe said they are doing well now. That was the real case of domestic violence I have experience.
