Finally they did it with an ample amount of sweat and elbow grease. I reckon that the headboard of this iron bed frame can be custom-fitted with paddings and a carpenter can do it or maybe by any skilled person with the right tools or equipment. It is because the metal which is used is square and not bars of steel. However I am not used to sitting against he headboard because I prefer just to lay down on my back because of my backbone condition and sitting around really is not my comfortable position. The headboard was fabricated to be 20 inches high from the surface if where the mattress should be put into. I specifically asked the fabricator to make it that high so that I will not lose the part that it will stick out after I put the mattress on it which is ten inches thick. By doing that I will still get ten inches of headboard which will be lesser in length after I laid down the new mattress which might get delivered within this week compared to what I have now with my current old steel bed frame. Soon I will also purchase maybe the same mattress and even bed frame with probably a different design from the fabricator so that each of us in the house (and future house) will have a good and separate bed with good mattress. My father has a separate bed because according to my mother he toss and turns a lot when he and my mother uses the same bed. But they can still lay next to each other using a single bed provided that a good mattress will be used just like what I am about to receive in the next few days but of course with a bigger size. Both my father and mother must have a separate bedroom because sometimes when one of them gets sick, then the other one will not get bothered or like get infected especially when they catch flu or cough. That is why it is one reason that my father is choosing to sleep in the living room which is now his bedroom and thus a double size bed is in there now together with our living room seats. The look inside and outside our house is really an eyesore and I want it to be changed as soon as possible because we needed more comfortable space where we can stay and maybe some more places where I can just sit around even within the house and a bonus if I we will have an outdoor area to enjoy a relatively fresher air unlike now where most of the time the air and heat is trapped because the eastern side is blocked by my sister's house where between our house and theirs was a metal roofing that effectively cut fresh air and the morning rays of the sun going inside our house in that side whereas in the opposite section was a concrete wall.
