This contest is one of my favorite contests. This contest is to share a post stating the true description of an object, material, product or design. This contest is very important. Through this contest we can learn many things about a certain object. Swimming pools are said to have originated in ancient civilizations such as the Greeks and Romans.  However, it is difficult to identify a single inventor of the modern swimming pool.

Today, there are many different types of swimming pools, including in-ground pools, indoor pools, and infinity pools. Typically, a public residential pool is set to be 10 feet to 20 feet long and about 5 feet deep. Commercial pools can be as large as Olympic size (50 meters long). A typical swimming pool is between 4 and 8 feet deep. The depth of any pool is designed for two sizes. The materials used for the construction of these swimming pools are various materials such as concrete, fiberglass, vinyl liner and natural materials such as stone or tiles. Each material has advantages and disadvantages such as cost, durability, maintenance and aesthetics. A swimming pool needs regular maintenance to keep it clean and safe for swimmers.
