В недавней поездке я побывала в интересном старинном городе Белёв. В музее для нашей группы рассказали о традиционных народных промыслах.	On a recent trip, I visited the interesting ancient city of Belev. In the museum, our group was told about traditional folk crafts.
Лектор начал свой рассказ со старинных глиняных белёвских игрушек. Было видно, что ему интересно и дорого всё, о чём он рассказывает.	The lecturer began his story with old clay Belev toys. It was clear that he was interested in and loved everything he was talking about.

Я делала фотографии, в основном, для того, чтобы потом вспомнить, о чём был рассказ. Так сейчас лектор демонстрирует, что у игрушки три ноги. С одной стороны, неточно передается число ног у животного, а с другой – фигурка на трех точках будет устойчиво и ровно стоять на любой поверхности.

I took photos mainly to remember later what the story was about. So now the lecturer demonstrates that the toy has three legs. On the one hand, it does not accurately convey the number of legs of the animal, and on the other hand, a figurine on three points will stand steadily and evenly on any surface.

Но наш рассказчик сам по себе очень выразительный. Поэтому я решила показать эти фотографии в качестве портретов.

But our storyteller himself is very expressive. So I decided to show these photos as portraits.

Сейчас Белёв наиболее известен своей необычной сладостью – белёвской пастилой.	Now Belev is best known for its unusual sweet - Belev pastila.
Лектор раздаёт для дегустации яблочное пюре, которое служит сырьём для пастилы. Кстати, и в таком виде очень вкусно.	The lecturer hands out applesauce for tasting, which serves as raw material for pastila. By the way, it is very tasty in this form too.

После небольшого мастер-класса по изготовлению белёвской пастилы, наконец, демонстрируется готовая сладость. В 19 веке готовая пастила посыпалась сахарной пудрой, как нам и показали. Но сейчас от этого отказались. Как правило, современная пастила – без посыпки.

After a short master class on making Belevskaya pastila, the finished sweet is finally demonstrated. In the 19th century, the finished pastila was sprinkled with powdered sugar, as we were shown. But now they have abandoned this. As a rule, modern pastila is without sprinkles.

Рассказчик так заразительно улыбается с пастилой в руках, что я тоже расплываюсь в улыбке.

The narrator smiles so infectiously with the pastila in his hands that I also break into a smile.
