Hoy fue un día algo atareado; últimamente he tenido muchas cosas que hacer. Lo primero que hice al despertar fue revisar el chat del grupo de trabajo, me pidieron que investigara sobre un gimbal para confirmar si la opción que teníamos en mente era la mejor para nosotros, o si nos convenía otro modelo, así que fue una de las primeras tareas que tuve que anotar para el día. Una vez ya habíamos conversado esto, me levanté de la cama, me cepillé los dientes, busqué mi comida, y me senté en la computadora como es costumbre.

Today was a busy day; I've had a lot of things to do lately. The first thing I did when I woke up was to check the working group's chat, they asked me to research a gimbal to confirm if the option we had in mind was the best for us, or if another model suited us, so it was one of the first tasks I had to write down for the day. Once we had discussed this, I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, grabbed my food, and sat down at the computer as usual.

Hoy desayuné viendo un video de Colt Capperrune sobre algunos trucos para grabar, y otro video de Warren Huart como es costumbre últimamente. Me llamó la atención una cinta que utiliza para mutear las frecuencias molestas que se producen al tocar ciertas baterías, también sugirió otro truco para mutear algunas cuerdas de la guitarra al momento de realizar solos, ya sabía ese último, pero aun así me pareció bien recalcarlo. Algunos otros “trucos” no me llamaron tanta la atención, pero igual pueden llegar a ser útiles en ciertas situaciones.

Today I had breakfast watching a video by Colt Capperrune about some recording tricks, and another video by Warren Huart as usual lately. I was struck by a tape that Colt uses to mute the annoying frequencies that are produced when playing certain drums, he also suggested another trick to mute some guitar strings when performing solos, I already knew that last one, but I still thought it was good to emphasize it. Some other "tricks" did not attract my attention so much, but they can still be useful in certain situations.

En cuanto al video de Warren, fue interesante y es algo que vengo notando de grandes ingenieros. En la actualidad son menos los ingenieros que trabajan con hardware para procesar el sonido, como consolas, ecualizadores, compresores y más. Ya todos se están mudando al software, ya sea por comodidad, por los requerimientos de la industria en la actualidad o porque el sonido del software y sus posibilidades han mejorado muchísimo. Así que me entusiasma seguir confirmando que se puede hacer música con una alta calidad de grabación sin necesidad de tener un gran estudio con muchos aparatos físicos. También, me gustó ver el sin sentido de algunos aparatos que sirven para sumar los canales y darles un toque “análogo”. Últimamente, me he dado cuenta que todo suma y que la mezcla es un proceso que va paso a paso, estos aparatos los comercializan como si pasarlos por allí nada mas ya puede generar el sonido de una consola, pero es falso a menos que tengan distintos canales por separado. En fin, son datos y reflexiones que me quedan para el futuro.

As for Warren's video, it was interesting and it's something that I have been noticing from great engineers. Fewer engineers are working with sound processing hardware such as consoles, equalizers, compressors, and more. Everyone is already moving to software, either for convenience, because of the requirements of the industry today, or because the sound of the software and its possibilities have improved so much. So I'm excited to continue to confirm that it's possible to make music with high recording quality without having a large studio with many physical devices. Also, I liked to see the nonsense of some devices that serve to add the channels and give them an "analogous" touch. Lately, I have realized that everything adds up and that the mixing is a process that goes step by step, these devices market them as if passing the sound through them alone can generate the sound of a console, but it is false unless they have different channels separately. In short, these are data and considerations that I have left for the future.

Al terminar de ver estos videos, tuve que ayudar a unos familiares con un problema con unas diligencias. Luego de todo esto, empecé mis clases de canto, no hubo mucha diferencia a los días anteriores como suele suceder últimamente, pero mi control al pasar por las notas sigue mejorando poco a poco.

When I finished seeing these videos, I had to help some relatives with a problem with some diligence. After all this, I started my singing classes, there was not much difference to the previous days as it usually happens, but my control when going through the notes continues to improve little by little.

Al finalizar la práctica de canto, inicié mis ejercicios. A pesar de que hoy era día de descanso, tenía ganas de hacer ejercicio y no dude en hacerlo. Hice abdominales ya que los músculos del abdomen pueden recibir más estrés constantemente, no tuve problema con hacer esta rutina. La hice con mucha actitud, realmente disfruté esta rutina hoy.

When I finished my singing practice, I started my exercises. Even though today was a rest day, I felt like exercising and I didn't hesitate to do so. I did abs since the abdominal muscles can get more stress constantly, I had no problem with doing this routine. I did it with a lot of attitude; I really enjoyed this routine today.

Después de los ejercicios, me bañe, comí y empecé a investigar sobre los gimbals que me habían comentado temprano, en esto dure varias horas, hasta que un video de una señora muy agradable llamada Zdenka Darula, se resolvieron todas mis dudas. La opción que teníamos en un principio seguía siendo la mejor para nosotros, así que converse con mi equipo y confirmamos nuestra decisión.

After the exercises, I took a bath, ate and started researching the gimbals that I had been told about earlier, this took several hours, until a video of a very nice lady named Zdenka Darula, resolved all my doubts. The option we had at first was still the best for us, so I talked to my team and we confirmed our decision.

Pasé el resto de la noche escribiendo el diario y escuchando música. Al terminar me fui a dormir.

I spent the rest of the night writing the diary and listening to music. When I finished I went to sleep.
