**A Chalk Dragon on the Way to Work**

On my way to work this morning, I saw something that made me stop in my tracks. A little girl was kneeling on the sidewalk, completely absorbed in her drawing. Her hands were covered in pastel dust, and beside her lay an open box of chalk. She had drawn a long, flowing dragon — a creature of blue, pink, and turquoise, with delicate yellow flames curling around its body. The entire drawing shimmered with stars and soft, circular shapes that gave it a dreamy, almost magical feeling. What struck me most was how gentle it all was. The sidewalk, normally so dull and grey, had become a canvas for something both naive and romantic. To my surprise, a breeze had scattered a handful of tea rose petals across the pavement, some resting gently on the dragon’s tail, as if nature itself had joined the artwork. There was something timeless about that moment — the purity of a child’s imagination, the soft touch of petals on chalk, and the silence of the early street.
