Okay, let's look at what it is before looking at its importance. ---- What is Personal Hygiene?
---- Personal Hygiene refers to the act or practices that is done or performed by an individual in order to keep ones body clean and healthy. It is achieved through cleanliness but we should note that cleanliness and personal hygiene are not the same and they can't be equated to each other. Why do I say so?... It focuses mainly on the health of the body of an individual such as the feet, hair, hands, body, etc. Sanitation on the other hand is referred to us the method of preventing wastes materials from contact with humans. It is done for hygienic purposes and focuses on how waste management by humans in the environment. Let's look at the components of personal hygiene that we have. + Face hygiene + Ear hygiene + Hair hygiene + Dental hygiene + Fingernail & Toenail hygiene + Foot hygiene + Environmental cleanliness ----- Good Habits or Practices of Personal Hygiene?
---- The above listed includes some of the components of personal hygiene which I know we do know already. Now I would be enumerating some of the habits that one must adopt to keep have a healthy living and also leave a hygienic life. It will be general and might come from any of the above listed components. + Take your bath or take shower right after excessive sweat as this prevent the body from absorbing the sweat which tend to cause the skin pimples, other skin infections.

_{[source](https://pixabay.com/photos/toothbrushes-hygiene-clean-1194939/)} + Brushing the teeth in the morning and if possible in the evening before sleep. + Cleaning or washing the hands with soap and running water to kill or remove germs or microorganisms. + Trimming our pubic hair regularly to prevent any infections + Trimming regularly our fingernails and toenails. + Use ear cleaner to remove accumulated ear wax but do not push the cleaner too far into the ear. + Wash your hair regularly at least twice weekly with shampoo or soap. This goes to those with plenty hair. + Wash or clean the feet regularly especially after a long day wearing of shoes.

There are many more but we would consider the few mentioned above. As we all know the importance of a healthy life, so it is important and compulsory on us to practice a good habits of personal hygiene in order to achieve that.
