Howdy, fellow Steemit fans! Trust that all is well with everyone. So here comes more of an opportunity for us to appreciate a show of love from someone in the form of diary post than a contest. Heartbreak experiences are at their peak due to the tribulations, hard times, and conditions that we do find ourselves in. As much as many people, including me, pretend to be okay through our constant fake smiles, that doesn't mean we're genuinely happy; in fact, it hurts even more deep down within us.* *Now, for someone's show of love to people like me, it is their great proclamation of "let's make the world a better place."* ## My gratitude diary Humans find it difficult to forget someone's show of love for them, at least when they next need the same love. I personally don't forget easily, and I always feel happy expressing appreciation. Here comes another opportunity for me in the form of a diary post today. ## How I was fed to stupor today by my brother, @kingter8. Maybe I wouldn't have been in this cheerful mood while publishing this. Anyone notice I'm happy? Well, an elder brother of mine made the day memorable for me. This is how it went. I had little plans for today; in other words, today was supposed to be a less busy day according to my schedule. And as expected, most of my less busy days do end up being boring, and today wasn't different. My little morning schedules went just as normal, without hitches. ## The boring moment of my day: The time was 15:23 when I noticed I'd started getting bored. This was due to the fact that there was no worthwhile activity left for me to embark on. I had spent much time blogging, and I was getting bored at this time with nothing in mind to do. I considered taking a nap as I used to, but it proved abortive. The fact here is that I was a little bit hungry, and because there was not even electricity in my area and, as well, no cash left in my pocket to go get a cooked meal, I was left with just immeasurable boredom to battle with since I couldn't avert it with a nap. ## I got a call "Boredom is the devil's delight," so they say. It makes idle mind ponder over bad things, and I wasn't thinking positively either. A few minutes after 16, I got a call from my brother, @kingter8, who lives not too far from me; he actually called to make an inquiry about formatting a post here on Steemit. He once joined Steemit but later lost interest in it. My constant convincing on the need to continue blogging convinced him to revisit Steemit today. After answering him the best I could, he noticed my usual tone and inquired as to what the problem could be. I simply explained, and he asked me to consider visiting him since today was an off-work day for him. It took the hungry boy roughly 15 minutes to get to his place by trekking. I at once told him I was hungry, and he confessed that there was already garri made but no soup. At once, we went and got all that was required to make a very yummy soup. All the bills were on him; it is very important to give credit. The soup preparation was a team effort for the both of us; I mean, we were both involved in the cooking for faster result. Since it was only the soup, it took us roughly 20 minutes to be through with it. We actually cooked fluted pumpkin leaf soup, popularly referred to in my area as Egusi soup. It's one of the most beloved dishes in Nigeria. I actually suggested this type of food during the purchase because it's one of my favorites. I enjoyed the meal to its fullest. We even called one of our brothers who was at that time at work but not too far to come and join us, and he did. This has been our tradition; eating together off in the same plate always feels good to us. The bad feelings were nowhere to be found again. It won't be wrong for me to term it one of the best days of this month. Times like this teach us that life is full of ups and downs. It might look as though life can be frustrating, but then, the way we choose to live it is what matters, and if someone decides to swing your mood in a difficult situation like this, then he/she's worthy of praise.
