Hello fellow steemians. I hope you all had a great day ? I’ll be sharing a diary of how I attended one of the most simplest wedding in my life.. Sit tight and welcome to my blog.

For those that has been following my diary, you’ll recall that in my last diary, I had said that I had a tarry night. So nothing would have made me to wake up early after the all night without sleeping. I woke up around 10:30am on this fateful day, but still not satisfied, but I had no choice than to wake up and come online to see if I’m needed by a client. I did my regular, brushing and bathing a went back into my room, that’s because I slept at my parent’s.

I didn’t have much to do , I just greeted my mum and went back into my room, my mum then informed me that my cousin whom we are the same age, will be coming to visit her, I was anticipating sha, cos it’s been long I met this particular cousin of mine, we just chat online and that’s all, mum made a special meal, just for this small girl ooo, smiles… Forward to when she arrived, I think that should be around minutes to 2pm, she came into my room and we exchanged pleasantries and gisted for long, I now informed her that I’ll be going for a wedding ceremony of a close friend’s sister which was slated to start by 3pm, she asked which Church is conducting the Ceremony, I told her it’s Jehovah’s Witness, she told me I should be already prepared, being that they may not stay long, of course, I doubted her.

After gisting much and it was about 3:36pm, I told my cousin, that I’ll be leaving for the ceremony, I left for the ceremony and arrived the venue by 4:15pm, lo and behold, this guys were done and taking pictures outside already, it was there I called my friend that invited me and asked her “does your Church do 2 seconds ceremony” ? She laughed at me and said that they don’t take long that they use just and hour or 45 minutes to finish what needs to be done in Church. I had no intentions of going for the reception, but since I had somehow missed the marriage, I had no other choice than to attend the reception.. I then called my driver and told him to come pick me, to the reception and I had to go there early so I could locate the place, he came and picked me and we successfully located the place. In a normal Nigerian reception, I was expecting to see a hall being used as the reception venue, but to my greatest surprise, I saw a concept I so much fell in love with… An “open space reception” where chairs were just kept, in an open space and guest seated comfortably and enjoying the fresh breeze of the wind. I immediately located a comfortable place and joined them, lol.. Listening to the cool music with the fresh breeze, I decided to take the picture of the reception ground to show my fellow Steemians. It was so simple, yet, I loved the feeling of it and the environment..

While still there, I got a call from a friend of mine who was supposed to be there as well, telling me to come pick her up at a nearby junction, being that she couldn’t locate the place as well, I then left to pick her up immediately, but it was as if she missed her way and I had to take a picture of a landmark to show to her, which also contained one of the fine roads of my state. My friend finally located me and I took her to the venue and by now the groom was already introduced, it was time for the bride to come out, believe me the bride’s introit was glorious, which started from the bridesmaids dancing into the venue and the bride came in with the accompaniment of a very slow and cosy music, oh I loved that feeling. After that I bid my friends farewell and left for home being that my driver had arrived to pick me up.

I really loved what I saw at the venue, I also learnt that in as much as the economy is so harsh, we can still do what we gotta do in our little way and it comes out so great, this couple were so young and cool, even if it wasn’t a very “big and costly” wedding as some people will term it, they turned something small to something big cos I loved it and I believe people did same.. The main priority is not in having a big and costly wedding or a wedding that’ll be the talk of the town, but their ability to continually stay in love, peace and harmony in marriage and raise a Godly and prosperous home is what matters to me. They may not have the whole world for now, but as they grow together, I believe God will bless, prosper and multiply them above all their expectations. Amen. I also wanna cease this opportunity to wish the newest couple a very blissful and blessed Union as they thread that path of eternity together and I also pray to thread same path in no distant time from now. AMEN.

I didn’t pass home immediately though, I told my driver to drop me at a barber shop, cos my hairs and beards were grown.. He dropped me and I had an haircut and the outcome was glorious, it may shock you to know that I have just one barber, being that I don’t love people tempering with my hair anyhow, more reasons I don’t barb even when I travel, I must wait till when I come back to Uyo, before my barber will barb me.
