Hello everyone,

This is my first post here and my first introduction to Steemit. I'm an independent filmmaker and video editor living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I've had a pretty varied and long career and have been fortunate to have worked on lots of really cool projects. You can find out more about my work here.

I'm also the proud father of an unschooled 11 year old girl and am really passionate about unschooling and self-directed learning, so much so that I made a feature length documentary about it called Class Dismissed

I really believe there is no better way to learn than being immersed in the world and following your passions and interests, learning the things that bring you alive. That said, I've recently become very interested in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency's and I'm learning as much as I can about them...and that's why I find myself here on Steemit. This looks like a really awesome way to support each other through community and grow the cryptocurrency movement. I look forward to sharing posts with you and finding out about all the cool things this community is doing.
