পৃথিবীর প্রত্যেকটি মানুষ কোনো না কোনো সময় সৃষ্টিকর্তার কাছে প্রশ্ন তুলেছেন, ‘আমি সুখী নই কেন, অথবা আমার কপালে সুখ লেখা নেই কেন?’। কিন্তু সত্যিকারের বিষয়টি কি জানেন? সুখ শুধুমাত্র আপনার মনের ব্যাপার। আপনার মনকে যদি আপনি বুঝ দিতে পারেন আপনি সুখী আছেন তাহলে আপনি একটি ভাঙা ঘরে আধপেটা খেয়েও সুখে থাকতে পারবেন। আপনারই বাজে চিন্তা, বাজে অভ্যাসের কারণে আপনার মনের শান্তি নষ্ট হচ্ছে, যার ফলে আপনি একটি বড় বাড়ি কিংবা ভালো খেয়েপরেও সুখে নেই একেবারেই। আপনারই কিছু খারাপ অভ্যাস কেড়ে নিচ্ছে আপনার মনের শান্তি।

১) অতীতকে নিজের বর্তমানে নিয়ে আসা এই বিষয়টি একটি সাইকেলের মতো। আপনি যদি প্রতিবারই আপনার অতীতটাকে টেনে এনে বর্তমানে বসিয়ে ফেলেন তাহলে মন থেকে কখনো কোথাও শান্তি খুঁজে পাবেন না। তাই অতীতটাকে অতীতেই থাকতে দিন। বর্তমানের সাথে মেলাবেন না।

২) সব সময় খারাপ চিন্তাটি আগে করা আপনি যদি ইতিবাচক বা ভালোটা চিন্তা না করতে পারেন তাহলে আপনার সাথে ভালো হবে না। এটি আপনারই বাজে অভ্যাস যে আপনি প্রত্যেকটি ব্যাপারে প্রথমে খারাপটাই ভেবে থাকেন। একটু ভালো দিক ভাবার চেষ্টা করুন। খুঁজে পাবেন মনের শান্তি।

৩) সব সময় নিজেকে অন্য একজনের সাথে তুলনা করতে থাকা যখন অন্য একজনের সাথে নিজেকে তুলনা করা হয় তখন নিজের ভেতরের ভালোটা কখনোই দেখা যায় না, সব সময় নিজের অভাবটাই নজরে পড়তে থাকে। এতে করে মনের শান্তি নষ্ট হয়, যা আপনার সুখটাকেও কেড়ে নিয়ে যায়। তাই অন্যের সাঠে নিজের তুলনা নয়।

৪) অন্য কারো মধ্যে পরিবর্তন আনতে চাওয়া যদি আপনার মনে হতে থাকে অন্য মানুষটির মধ্যে পরিবর্তন প্রয়োজন তাহলে তা তার এবং সময়ের উপর ছেড়ে দিন। কারণ আপনি পরিবর্তন আনতে চাইলেই তা পারবেন না এবং তা না পারলে আপনার অশান্তি লাগবে। এতে করে বিষয়টি আপনার মনের শান্তি কেড়ে নেবে।

৫) ‘আমার কাছে সেটা থাকলে আমি খুশি থাকতাম’- ধরণের চিন্তা থাকা নিজেকে অজথা বুঝ দিয়ে অশান্তি ডেকে আনাটা অনেক খারাপ একটি অভ্যাস। মানুষের চাহিদার কোনো সীমা নেই। একটি বস্তুর কারণে নিজেকে অসুখি ভাবাটা একধরণের রোগের পর্যায়ে পড়ে। এই ধরণের চিন্তা বাদ দিন।
