The world around us is filled with negativity and it unknowingly impacts our lives on a day to day basis

See being negative is easy and requires no real effort and after a while it starts to become a habit. I am talking out of experience here. There will be days that nothing bad happened but out of habit I would be down and sad. People do not realise it until they decide to make a change in their lives

Proverbs 23:7

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

This is absolutely true. This goes with @giantbear's post about the law of attraction. If we radiate positive energy outward towards the world , the world will respond with positive energy. It is that simple. But then again the opposite is true as well. Radiate negativity and you will attract negative energy towards you. Now I am not saying that being positive all the time will ensure nothing bad or negative happens to you. No. I am just saying when something bad happens and you still choose to stay positive, you will see it as a learning curve along your route and it would not seem that bad. Because what happens is something very small can trigger the negativity inside you and that tends to worsen the situation or it might appear that the hurdle can not be overcome.

Being positive starts within you

If you know where you are going it is easier to stay on the path

>We need joy as we need air. –Maya Angelou To be joyful one must reflect. Reflecting is necessary to discover what makes you happy. If you are happy and joyful being positive becomes easier. If you keep the verse above in mind then to become a positive person you need to think about it daily. It needs to become a routine because thinking and staying positive can be challenging. But once we rewire our brains and let positive emotions and energy become a habit then you will be. This verse applies to everything in life as you read in @giantbear's post.But my main focus today is tell you that when you think positive you will become a positive person. In the end it is all about personal growth and development. Why not develop yourself as a joyful and positive person. Life is too short to be negative and down about everything. Enjoy it and remember it does not matter if you fail or lose motivation to stay positive. As long as you try, growth will take place.
