I took time to go through lot of interesting articles available on the internet about the NEXT platform months ago. I was originally dragged (literally) in by FUD articles making the round on my social feeds sometime ago, about the exchange platform and token. NEXT is a lowcap token that did experience a sharp price decline earlier this year, sending a lot of people (with the exception of dedicated community members) into panic mode. Its worth mentioning that since then the token price rocketed and yielded an over 500% ROI in just under two months. Claims and accusations that were found to be not true after carrying out my research which consequently got me hooked realizing how much potential there is in the proposed NEXT ecosystem and trading platform these guys are working hard to build.

Rumors and News

A big characteristic of digital crypto currency trading which lots of traders and investors alike have come to realize is that News and Rumors sell very fast in this young landscape. Ever heard the statement "Buy the News, Sell the Rumor?". Exactly, this is what many whales and shillers want you to do. They set the rumors, go ahead spreading them and expect you to close your position so that they buy more bags. Be smart out there guys!

A big part of our daily lives online and offline lives is spent on research and education, especially in the areas of traditional investing and business, how we fail to use same old approach of research when investing or trading a token/coin in the digital world baffles me. A simple Google search to the above claims could dust it all out, it will show you that they were mere FUDs to shake off weak hands.

Why do I think so?

NEXT, survived some challenging times during the history of crypto and Blockchain tech. As a young project, they managed to pull through the gruesome bear market, grow their community, build out their Blockchain and develop their trading platform - the price of the next token reflects this. The ICO of NEXT ended right before the market plunged. Nonetheless, they managed to deliver quite a lot from their roadmap, in comparison to other ‘hypie’ projects.

As a new supporter of the project, and as I have witnessed, they have been active and consistent with their developments, having also a firm team presence in their various social media outlets. They didn’t shut down, they didn’t carry out an exit scam and hell they aren’t complaining about limited funds since following up on their progress in product building and community growing.

I have come to realize that some of the reasons I had left really great projects in the past, ignorantly, was due to the fact that I didn't take active participation in the individual project communities. Upon studying the benefits, use case, and the future projection of the NEXT.exchange platform and team, I have come to love and stick real close to the team, the project Telegram group and follow their announcements religiously.

Here is where it gets really interesting

Is the NEXT platform and team going to go under? Not a chance. They’ve indeed come a really long way and are now set for the Mainnet of NEXT.chain and 1.1 upgrade of the exchange platform. There was an official blog update issued last week, I recommend you check it out, it's packed with exciting news and updates. They tend to offer much more than meets the eyes.

A Lot to Expect

As one with vast experience in trading and having used platforms of a both Decentralized and Centralized nature, such as Idex, Etheredelta, Binance, Huobi, FatBtc, Oobtc, Mercatox etc. I know first hand and appreciate platforms that put in the effort to make their exchange platform more intuitive, fast, and secure. I am big on security, transparency, and usability.

Not Just an Exchange but also an Ecosystem

With all of this benefits, attributes and features expected after mainnet transition and release of the version 1.1 trading platform update, we would be having an advanced and healthy ecosystem in our hands;

The NEXT team is considering utilizing their own Blockchain to issue stablecurrencies that are backed by user fiat that is deposited to the exchange. Tokenized fiat would be held by a trust where an external auditor will evaluate records under supervision by the Dutch AFM making NEXTs own stable coins a better and more transparent alternative to the USDT. It’s common knowledge that Next, a legitimate business is registered in the Netherlands, England & Wales. Ticking all the boxes of a long term business for me.
Ability to trade across a wide range of fiat. The updated version will introduce more pairings to stable coins as well as pairing with ETH, BTC, EURO, USD etc
Over 50 assets already trading, no bot trading, no wash trade allowed in the platform as order book are loaded on time and transparent.
Escrow service functionality provided in the platform.
Smart contract asset deployment as we have it in ERC20 platform is enabled and a lot more which makes the article a non-exhaustive write up (More to come - watch this space).
