For this type of case, the parties concerned have recourse to the courts to resolve their differences (in cases where the law must be applied), to face-to-face mediation or to a simple conversation on the matter. In the same way, in the wide universe of the Internet, disputes of different kinds arise thanks to the growing process of globalization, digitalization and global trade. Today, people buy, sell and work online, resulting in numerous complaints or disputes, an example of which is the millions of complaints **eBay** has handled since 2009; while the emergence of online mediation modalities has been a great help, smart contracts have been made out of the need for a mechanism that resolves disputes as quickly, cheaply and reliably as possible, including the internal and external elements of the blockchain in the decisions of their trials.
