Niantic has announced the star Pokémon of the next community day event in May. Fennekin, which is the Fire type from Generation Six (Kalos Region) will be the featured Pokémon and spawn more often during the event Sunday May 21, 2023. A unique Pokemon this time around as it is going back to Starters which have been usual after a couple of Community day rotations. I wonder if this signals a new trend for the Starters.

As usual the community day event will last for three hours and will be on a Saturday this time around again from 2pm to 5pm local times. The bonuses during the event will be 3x Stardust and 2x Candy for catching Pokemon. No other rewards have been announced except for the typical three hour lure duration. However, there will also be a 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and above to get Candy XL from catching as well. The family has recently taken up playing Pokemon Go again which may get me back in for this event. We have already clean up our storage and prepared for the next community day. I have seen my own Pokemon dwindle as they are asking for more trades these days since they missed out on more than I have. Last community day was fun to be out catching Pokemon again and getting some shinies. As usual, you will have a chance to encounter the shiny form of the Fox Pokémon Fennekin in increased probabilities during the event. Also, the exclusive charged attack Blast Burn will be gained from evolving Braixen to Delphox up to five hours after the event has been announced. It will be interesting to see how much interest this gets from the community this month. Good luck and catch ‘em all!
