I have to admit that the one Dapp that has most encouraged my engagement in the social blockchain space has been Splinterlands. The growth and development seen from the team and the community is what makes the journey worth the ups and downs of everything else. While I continued to be uncertain about my future in the different ecosystems that remain, my time with Splinterlands is not only enjoyable but also profitable. It is a great system that rewards you for engagement and while it gets tough given the inherent competitiveness , I look forward to completing my Daily Quests in addition to tournaments.

It is becoming more likely that I will eventually no longer be able to get into the highest Division given the amount of players learning how to compete at the high levels despite not necessarily having the best Collections or teams even. However, in the meantime, I will continue to battle through and find ways to optimize my rewards every Season. ![SM Purchases.png](https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/newageinv/5p5ZIDs2-SM20Purchases.png) Given the extra cryptocurrency I had on my account this past week and the inability to really do much with it, I decided to continue with my "go all in" mentality with the game and spent most of my wallet on more cards. There were a number of cards that I had still needed to maximize the strength of some of my teams. Given the recent declines in prices, I was able to get a hold of some rare cards that had been going for more than double or triple the prices I purchased at. The largest acquisition was for the one that has continued to avoid me with my Daily Mystery Potions, Prince Julian! ![Prince Julian.png](https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/newageinv/LWTa30m8-Prince20Julian.png) I thought it was well worth it as I am uncomfortable with an empty spot in my Collection, particularly when it is a Summoner which are the foundation of team building. Despite being nerfed a while ago, I think that the usability is also a good card to have for the future of the game. The main reason I also bought it is that I have decided to start hoarding my DEC as I want to be ready for the next phase of development for land purchases and crafting that will come in the future. ![Level 7.png](https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/newageinv/D8yKZXmm-Level207.png) On a side note, these latest purchases help me achieve a new level with the @peakmonsters marketplace which is exciting given the continued opportunities they continue to provide players with. The future will be interesting as development continues. My thought will be to continue accumulating DEC in the short term. In fact, given the prices of DEC in the market and the commitment to honor the value when purchasing through the website, I am now considering to outright purchasing plenty of DEC in the coming weeks. I have not decided in what increments yet as I honestly hate having to go through the administrative burden of accounting for Crypto swaps for taxes. However, I cannot do in too many big chunks as I am not sure how liquidity is at the moment. I am hoping that the development roadmap continues to be delivered upon as it seems to be what drives me to continue forward for the most part. I have thought about my participation of it all and the fact that Splinterlands remain strong despite everything is encouraging and make me confident at the future of this whole experiment. I look forward to the future of what is to come!
