In both cases, you receive a reward in coins for confirming transactions. To participate in PoS, you need to have a wallet installed on your computer, and it must be fully synchronized. Of course, the wallet cannot be empty 😄. To be selected for confirmation, you need coins; the more coins you have, the higher your chances. The coins must have 600 confirmations in the case of PIVX, so after 10 hours (one confirmation per minute), you can participate in staking. In the PoW method, transactions are confirmed by miners decoding hashes using a brute-force method, which requires a lot of computational power and, consequently, electricity, which costs money. There is only one problem - the chance of being selected is minimal. As shown in the chart below, 56.4% of the rewards go to 20 wallets. The twentieth wallet holds 122,645 PIVX, which is approximately 39,665 USD. The idea here is simple: you can join a pool and stake with others. Why PIVX? It has several advantages: ➕ It is continuously being developed. ➕ The [Core wallet](https://pivx.org/wallets) is user-friendly and even has a Polish language option. ➕ The [WebApp wallet](https://mypivxwallet.org/) is user-friendly, though I haven't used it, but it looks really nice. ➕ There's a cool [faucet](https://pivx.promo/?r=1474) that doesn't even require registration; you just need a wallet that supports PIVX with shielded coins - not all wallets have this. ➕ [PIVCards](https://cards.pivxla.bz/)- the possibility to purchase shopping cards ➕ Collaboration with [Project Zomboid](https://pivxla.bz/project-zomboid/), a computer game, independently produced, with its own fan base, although I'm not one of them as I've never played survival-type games.
