I used to be a traveler

A wanderer

With my head up in the skies

And my heart farther beyond them

My heart was in the stars

And I traveled

Far and wide

I laid my head in many ports

But still the stars were never going

I met people of all sorts

And yet my heart was empty

I did jobs of various forms

And oh my pocket's empty

For I have been a traveler

And I will always be

For I have been a wanderer

Through life's eternity
