IT the Extraterrestrial, is one of the most successful films of Steven Spielberg.

Undoubtedly, analyzing the reasons for your success and adapting it to your personal situation and business can help or at least facilitate your success. But it's not the movie I want to talk about.

Maybe you wonder, then what do you want to talk about, Carlos?

I want to talk about two characteristics that are represented by the letters "I & T". These two letters lead keywords to explain my point of view on this topic.

Before starting I would like to tell you that this is a topic that has been studied exhaustively by great thinkers of humanity, reaching the conclusion that their understanding is fundamental to achieve success in business and life.

It's good de rodeos, let's go straight into the central issue.

The first is Intelligence.

Intelligence has nothing to do with genius, there are many types of intelligence, but what interests us is not Intellectual Intelligence, or Numerical Intelligence, but Emotional Intelligence.

The Emotional Intelligence has to do with the way you face and overcome the vicissitudes of life.

As we say in Venezuela "if life gives you lemons learn to make lemonade"

The blows of the failures hit harder than a fist

In your walk towards success you will take so many blows that many times you will want to stay lying on the floor and stop fighting, or is it just that this happens to me?

The "T" refers to "Temerity"

But we are going to define temerity in a more tangible, solid and concrete way, define it as the ability to take risks.

Risks is a word that gives teeth, risks is one of those words that people are afraid to hear, almost as much as the patient who is going to get a medical check up is afraid of hearing the word "cancer".

But let's lose the fear of that expression, risk is the key that opens the doors of opportunities. If, for fear of taking risks, you paralyze yourself, you miss the opportunities to catch that dream that you have caressed so many years.

Make your friend risk

Befriend risk, accept it as an ingredient of success, risk is part of your winning recipe, like the salt of a couple of tasty fried eggs. You may have noticed that "Emotional Intelligence and Ability to Take Risks" go hand in hand, they are almost Siamese. Without a healthy and adequate emotional intelligence it will be difficult, not to say impossible to take risks. Without a strong emotional intelligence, every simple trip you will see as the world is against you, everything goes wrong and you do not serve to succeed, which is false. And without the need to take risks emotional intelligence would be almost unnecessary, since in the moments that we need most of this is precisely when deciding if we run a risk and face the consequences of it.

Remember this thought every time life seems to go mad with you "GOD only puts you the tests that you know you can overcome"
