Las Fotografías de esta publicación son todas de mi autoría, y fueron tomadas con mi cámara **Lumix Panasonic DMC-FS12**. ![](https://i.postimg.cc/ZR7fKZmZ/Separador1.png) I tell you that I am the **President** of the **Alzheimer's Foundation of Venezuela Chapter Táchira (FAVTáchira)** and, today, I will show you part of what we do in our work, for which I selected only the **Cognitive Stimulation Workshops (CSW)**, since we have with other types of events of equal importance. A year ago we created the **Senior Care Center**, due to the manifest need to generate adequate spaces where **Older Adults**, from 60 years of age, in our communities of **San Cristóbal, Táchira State, Venezuela**, find opportunities to carry out activities that allow them, among many other benefits: to conserve and improve **Cognitive Abilities**, prevent **Cognitive Deterioration** in healthy adults, depart from **Depression**, **Anxiety** and, ultimately, get away from **Alzheimer's**. ![042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia1.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmThSw6EenHyUvXajzGREnUkVVcB7h4pgrMcfLDbiijcXL/042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia1.jpg) ### What we do in these Cognitive Stimulation Workshops (CSW). Every Wednesday and Friday between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. We encourage **Older Adults**, to move their **Mental Abilities**, in order to create **New Neurons**, with previously prepared exercises that allow slowing down, preventing or diminishing the effect of **Neuronal Deterioration**, caused by normal aging, diseases, accidents, emotional problems, bad habits of life and many other origins. ![042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmd5ajoyR2TWZPrK9RLErG7PKPq5KDMBqQ5VVjayENZgZn/042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia2.jpg) Our **Work Team** consists of a group of more than **50 Trained Volunteers**, who work in an intercalated, permanent and free way; We do not receive monetary compensation for our work. Our payment is the **Smile** and **Love** of all those **Old People**, who are mistreated or not treated properly in their homes, for the ignorance of the management of **Alzheimer's Disease** and **Cognitive Deterioration** in general. However, I can say that, for me, in particular, it is the **Best Job in the World**. I will continue here until I can provide my **Services** to **Those who Forget**. Group dynamics, 4. Brain Gymnastics, 5. Reminiscence or Evocation of the past, 6. Dance therapy, 7. Singing, 8. Music therapy, 9. Yoga, 10. Tai-Chi, 11. Chi-Kung, 12. Meditation and Relaxation, 13. Visualization, 14. Mindfulness, 15. Body gymnastics, 16. Accelerated learning, 17. Contests, 18. Games with physical elements: Bowling, Sicuela, Balls, etc., 19. Accompaniment and conversation, 20. Short talks, 21. This has the purpose that, although they notice the subtle or marked differences in **Behavior** between them, the **Empathy** and **Compassion** necessary for them to feel that they share among equals is generated, the levels of **Self-esteem** of the most affected and **Socialization** among all are increased, can be **Successful** and **Inclusive**. We promote the **Enjoyment of Execution** and not the **Achievement of Goals**. In cases of competition, the rules are flexible, everyone wins and receives **Affirmative Stimulation**, alike. We live among **Applause, Shouts of Happiness, Hugs and Kisses**. Todos los miércoles y viernes entre 2:30 y 4:30 p.m. incentivamos a los **Adultos Mayores**, a mover sus **Capacidades Mentales**, a fin de crear **Nuevas Neuronas**, con ejercicios previamente preparados, que permitan ralentizar, prevenir o disminuir el efecto del **Deterioro Neuronal**, causado por el envejecimiento normal, las enfermedades, los accidentes, los problemas emocionales, los malos hábitos de vida y de muchos otros orígenes. ![042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia7.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNpunACRkxRaWYGZUrRn7GVtUGafEB6YgkN8YsFxpwFgQ/042_Concurso_Rally-500_003_mitrabajo_08-03-2020_Secuencia7.jpg) Nuestro **Equipo de Trabajo** está constituido por un grupo de más de **50 Voluntarios Entrenados**, que laboramos de forma intercalada, permanente y gratuita; no percibimos retribución monetaria por nuestra obra. Nuestro pago es la **Sonrisa** y el **Amor** de todos esos **Dulces Viejecitos**, que son maltratados o no tratados adecuadamente en sus hogares, por el desconocimiento del manejo de la **Enfermedad de Alzheimer** y del **Deterioro Cognitivo** en general. Sin embargo, puedo decir que, para mí, en particular, es el **Mejor Trabajo del Mundo**. Seguiré aquí hasta que pueda prestar mis **Servicios** a **Quienes Olvidan**. Ejercicios de Lectoescritura, dibujo y cálculo matemático, 2. Juegos de Mesa: Dominó, Ludo, Ajedrez, Bingo, Stop, Ahorcado, Memoria, Barajas, Cartas, piezas de madera, Tangram, Origami, etc., 3. Dinámicas grupales, 4. Gimnasia Cerebral, 5. Reminiscencia o Evocación del pasado, 6. Bailoterapia, 7. Canto, 8. Musicoterapia, 9. Yoga, 10. Tai-Chi, 11. Chi-Kung, 12. Meditación y Relajación, 13. Visualización, 14. Atención plena, 15. Gimnasia corporal, 16. Aprendizaje acelerado, 17. Concursos, 18. Juegos con elementos físicos: Bowling, Sicuela, Pelotas, etc., 19. Acompañamiento y conversación, 20. Charlas cortas, 21. Digitopuntura, y muchas otras más. Todos los participantes se ubican en un **Mismo Espacio**. Esto tiene la finalidad de que, aunque noten las sutiles o marcadas diferencias de comportamiento entre ellos, se genere la **Empatía** y la **Compasión** necesarias para que sientan que comparten entre **Iguales**, se incrementen los niveles de **Autoestima** de los más afectados y la **Socialización** entre todos sea **Exitosa** e **Inclusiva**. Promovemos el **Disfrute de la Ejecución** y no el **Logro de Metas**. En los casos de competencia, las reglas son flexibles, **Todos Ganan** y reciben **Estimulación Afirmativa**, por igual. Vivimos entre **Aplausos, Gritos de Felicidad, Abrazos y Besos**.
