So I did some 400m repeats. I felt not so strong in the beginning, but I felt stroger after each repeat. I stopped at repeat 13th, but extending the last one to 3min one, and running at 17km/h. It was a good day! ### Running details ### * **Distance: ~10km** * **Where: Indoor gym, treadmill** * **Time: ~40min** * **Speed Range: 1:30 fast (14km/h, 15km/h, 16km/h x 10 and 18km/h x 1). Total: 13 repeats of 400m** * **Run type: Speed!** * **Incline: 1% throughout** **Feeling before the run** 'Let's go fast and work on speed?' **During the run** First two laps were hard, but as my body warmed up, things became a lot more easier. I stopped after 3rd lap, for a sip of water, b/c it was so dry in the gym. The treadmill turned off while I was gone for water, oh well. **Feeling after the run** Very light and feeling strong. This was the best speed day in 2018 so far! I can't wait to do 20 repeats by June. ### Strength&Flexibility ### * **Pull-ups: No pull-ups today. Dips instead** * **Dips: 4 sets of 5 reps. 1 min rest in between. Standing tall** * **Jefferson-curl: Shit. I forgot to do this today. I can't really focus doing work right after dinner, so it's nice to sit and tap into meditation. * **During Meditation** Today I let my chin lift high and my face facing sky. Although I was in my office, this simple move made me wonder about what's going on outside the office. When I realized I was daydreaming, I came back to my breathing, and practiced my meditation further. * **Feeling After The Meditation** I went right into doing some work, and made some progress :) I hope my posts at least inspire you to think about running and meditation. I got hooked to running in 2013. Running barefoot on grass, slowly, I learned how to be one with the movement. I loved running so much that I wanted to see how world's best runners live and train. I did a [10-day Vipassana meditation retreat](https://www.dhamma.org/en) in 2011. There, I experienced a center of peace within myself. However, college, grad school, and real world slowly took me away from the practice. I am giving myself some social accountability by committing myself to meditate 15min before going to bed and upload a post about it on Steemit, along with my running post. I chose to do 15 minutes because it does not feel too long nor insignificant.
